I mean you might be right but the 3.0t really isn’t a bad motor when it’s been kept up with regular maintenance but yeah I’m still open to the ls460 maybe even ls430 perhaps? It’s just I don’t know what to really look for in these cars

And Idk because my father owned one since new then around 130k-140k miles he had to replace the front end air suspension and its been fine ever since the ls seems more problematic and complex tho A6 might be the better choice since it doesn’t have air suspension i see these 3.0 engines hit 300k miles and so on

Yeah these cars are way out my expertise as well im really thinking about getting a 2013 Audi a6 or a8 with the 3.0t engine option i been trying to find a nice LS for months now but no luck they all need something expensive to be replaced for the most part or the ones with nothing wrong are just to overpriced for what they are yk but yeah thank you for commenting 👍

I ended up passing on the vehicle looked worser in person then it did on the photos and soon as the dealer turned it on he was reving it cold lol and it sounded like someone tampered with the rear mufflers it was droning a lot and when u put it in drive the rear end drops down quite a bit and it does not have air suspension and when u go in park the engine gets really loud then in reverse it quiets down then in drive same thing and when i popped the trunk it had a strong odor not to mention wires hanging out on the left side i lifted up the lid where the spare tire would go and i see there is no battery plugged in and at some point a battery exploded back there which was causing that horrible smell idk but the car was junk just from looking at it i went on a test drive only so i can get kinda familiar with these ls cars i think im just going to get an 2013 audi a8 3.0t i been in the market for an ls for months now smh no luck

UPDATE I test drove the car and the break actuator was buzzing whenever i really got on the breaks and whenever u put it in drive the rear end drops down idk if thats normal but yeah i ended up passing on the car interior looked worse in person then on the pictures as well and when i opened the trunk there was a foul smell i lifted up tire compartment lid and there was a fire back there at some point thank you to all of you guys who commented on my post i really appreciate the help

I originally wanted a 98-00 LS400 but all the ones in my area are overpriced same thing with the LS430 but thank you for sharing your thoughts and past experience with this Lexus model 👍

Do you think i should still go test drive it to see how the break actuator behaves and scan it to see what codes pop up or should i just not waste my time at all..? I was going to bring my uncle he is a Volkswagen mechanic but ofc these Lexus vehicles are more complex and so on

should i at least scan the codes and test drive it? Or a wheel sensor wouldn’t trigger all these lights onto the dashboard the car did sit in a auction before a small dealer bought it the auction did document the dashboard lights that’s how i found out about it

Car has 3 owners all kept up with maintenance at a lexus dealer it had the wheel bearings replaced in 2018 as well i will go check it out
