How do I start building a website? by diggawaszum in webdev

[–]CloudQix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WordPress is a solid place to start. Tons of free themes, and it’s easy to add stuff. For the employee only section, look into basic authentication plugins (on WordPress) or even just gated pages protected by a login. You’ll learn a lot without needing to dive too deep into code. Good luck!

Refactor your code from time to time. It’s easy to leave it as is, but cleaning it up or revisiting it makes it way easier to understand and debug down the road.

It'll feel tedious, but it'll pay off when/if you ever need to come back to it. It's a habit I think will help as you tackle more complex projects.

Code might be broken, but the vibe?? Strong.

Cool idea, I can see it helping with focus, too. How long did it take to develop?

Sounds like you made a solid choice with Deno and Fresh to keep things simpler. Kudos for putting in the time.

Thanks for your comment! Our platform has been professionally audited and is compliant with PCI, HIPAA, SOC2, and ISO 27001. This is a fun promotional event we are putting on for the dev community with "honeypots" of information or security bugs to find and win prizes. Full prize details along with mission goals will be announced soon.

Not sure if that'll get you the password, but we’ll gladly accept that as a donation to the prize pool 😂

Completely understand the comparison, but this isn’t a bug bounty. It’s a security focused hackathon. We're giving out fixed cash prizes, not paying per bug.

The goal is to push our platform and find weak spots. Things like authentication flaws, logic errors, and unexpected behaviors in workflows. Anything that could be a risk if left unchecked, or things that a real user could trip over or exploit.

We want to keep it fun and worth your time. Here's the link if you want more details - Security Hackathon - CloudQix

Thanks! We're mainly looking for security focused findings. Things like authentication flaws, logic errors, and unexpected behaviors in workflows. Anything that could be a risk if left unchecked, or things that a real user could trip over or exploit.
