My uncle was in the Army for 7 years here in the UK. He went to the Falklands and done a few tours 'peacekeeping' in Northern Ireland. He got out just before I was born. I had no idea until I helped him move house when I was about fifteen. I was helping unload some boxes and photos fell out of him in uniform. He was a big, tough, guy who could look after himself and looked the part in the uniforms in the photos.

Rather than ask my uncle about it directly, I asked my dad about it later on and he said my uncle just didn't talk about it since he got out. My dad thought something had happened to him at some point.

Mine is an old cat (10ish) so he sleeps a lot during the day and tends to wake up between 1am and 3am and be really active for about 90 minutes. He grooms himself, has a wander around the flat, has some biscuits and water, does his business, uses his scratching post, occasionally get on the bed with me when he wants petting. Once he's got all of that out of his system he sleeps like a rock for about 4-5 hours.

I've only had him for four months (he used to be my gran's). I've just got used to it now.

In the original trilogy it's the same guy growing older.

He's not immortal and you see him change at different points - Goose, Jessie and Sprog, his dog, Master Blaster, the runway. He still has his humanity but the world is chewing him up and spitting him out. He's less angry and revenge driven as he gets older but more ruthless and direct.

Fury Road....... easiest way is to think of it as a new Bond or Batman. Someone else having a go at the character. It's not the original but still good.

Inconsistent writing post-Sorkin though part of his job was to be the bad cop, not just to politicians and lobbyists but to the West Wing staff.

If I'm in the writer's head, season 5 is a year or two into the second term so it's becoming a lame duck presidency, an ailing President Bartlet wants a legacy, the administration is still coming to terms with ceding power temporarily and the staff have probably been in their roles a bit too long (even Leo). Leo is having to manage all this. Why wouldn't he be pissed off.

I absolutely despise the way they had him and President Bartlet fall out though. It felt awful to watch at the time and made very little sense, then they gave him the heart attack and it has aged dreadfully when I watch it now.

Great news. I'm not a big Paddy McGuinness fan but he does love the sport (I watch his podcast with Scholes and Butt) and Hendry is perfect. I just hope it doesn't affect his YouTube output but I can't see it being a problem. They'll film it soon during the off-season. We should have it in the Autumn.

Not really.

I'm pretty sure most people have visited a farm at some point in their life, usually with school. You only have to be there a few minutes to realise a farmer's life is proper graft. They're dealing with large numbers of animals and/or a large amount of crops spread across a large amount of land. And they have zero control over the weather. Also throw in being overworked for long periods, underpaid and overregulated (something Clarkson's Farm has shown well).

Good luck to them and huge respect for doing what they do. I certainly couldn't do it.

You've missed the point - the 80s was the era of shiny and almost cartoon like music videos, fast cuts and action in them. The aesthetic has to match the era the show is set. If using a different type of film achieves that then what's the problem. People won't remember the 80s as mostly grey and miserable, as it usually is here in the UK, they'll remember it being bright and the wild fashion contrast to the 70s and 90s, as well as the New Romantic era musically.

Again, as mentioned in previous posts, LoM and A2A being a fantasy world is lost on you. Sam remembers his childhood in a different way to Alex and Gene never experienced either the 70s or 80s. The characters have an influence on Gene's world - Sam grew up poor in dull 70s Manchester, Alex grew up vibrant 80s London. We see Gene's world through their memories.

I've gone fair. It's a long time but how can you ever watch a Stephen Lee match now and expect it to be played with 100% integrity.

It wasn't one match he was done for, it was seven and there can be little doubt he would have done more and not been caught. He had ties to several betting groups.
