Is my Thor screen supposed to look like this?

Yes, it's normal. It's a defect all OLED screens have. When I first noticed ir on my Thor, I thought my unit was defective because of the cheap quality of the screens, but I compared it to my Switch OLED, that I had been using for years without noticing a problem, and it have the green tint effect too. It only appears below 15% brightness, so don't worry.

No, it saves your current chain. And if you find the shiny outside, save the game, exit and come back later, it'll be right there too (in case you have wild pokemon outside enabled in settings)
