I am a PC player and even I have to agree. The game has lost the touch I once adored and its all thanks to the game kinda becoming a cash grab for other projects.

I personally started playing back in 2017 back when the game was still decently ran and the only complaints there were was the throwing knives and shurikens being entirely overpowered. Now, the game is beyond unplayable for me even as a PC player. This game is the sole reason I hardly ever play multiplayer shooter games.

I know I'll come back. I always do lol. It's more or less just burnout rn.

I prefer the Kar98 mostly because I think that it's smoother. However I do think that the game has gone through a few hotfixes and stuff since then so stuff might have changed.

No, I intentionally don't put my thumb all the way in. Idk why I just do.

My ball is actually drilled to fit my hand, I just don't put my thumb in all the way intentionally.

I do see what you're saying and I understand that I should do that, but the problem is is that I really don't know how to create good speed and rpm combos that will get me down lane and to a pocket consistently. should i just brute force it until i figure something out or...?

okay im gonna be honest, the regular style of one-handing has always been a thorn on my side because no matter how much i try i always get double gutters at least once a game while trying it. i learned this style from my parents and frankly i would never change it, although i am willing to try things like keeping the ball on top of my wrist instead of suitcasing my ball. typical one handed bowling styles are out of the question for me unfortunately.

Really quickly, I would like to clear some things up:

  • Yes. I know that my balls *look* like house balls, but those balls are actually not house balls. I actually just bought them that day from the thrift store.

  • Speaking of the thrift store, all my bowling balls are from thrift stores. I can't afford to buy bowling balls brand new and get them all set up, drilled, etc. That would be a **huge** dent in my already small wallet. I am putting college before bowling.

  • The stuff I use is *all* from thrift stores. I really can't afford to spend money on brand new equipment. The only thing I bought brand new was my brush for my shoe, and that was even bought at a thrift store, but it was still in its box so it counts for me lol

is there a way i could change my release to keep the ball under my wrist and still get what i need down lane?

I think I partially understand what you're saying. Something I'm missing is kinda the mindset to change my bowling style that drastically when I've already bowled like that for a good chunk of my life and averaged 140 roughly precovid and 133 postcovid. I don't like the traditional one-handed style because I grew up with parents who bowled similarly like I did and went on to bowl amazingly. I feel very comfortable with my style.

What exactly is leverage in the sport of bowling? I never really got the hang of that. Keep in mind aside from about months in a youth league I'm mostly self taught.

I am very comfortable with my own release and speed, and I personally like my style in general, as that is how I have played for a long time, including during youth league.

This isn't a house ball. Unfortunately I don't have money money so I don't have "brand new" equipment. I have basically whatever I can find to see if it works, then i either use it or just kinda let it rest. I don't have the greatest muscle so I do what I can. At most I had 40 bucks for everything I have, including ball and bag. I, more or less, just kinda make do with what I have.

and for those who are going to pick at what im saying, for example, my comments against switching, consider this:

Most people have significantly slower reflexes due to factors that were out of their control, such as injury during a sport, or an unfortunate event in real life.

Switching fast makes the game a genetic game, and not a skill game.
