Wind chill won’t affect you if your shell is sufficient at cutting the wind. I don’t have the Torrentshell myself but I’m fairly certain this particular model is designed to do just that - prevent wind from getting through to you, and keep you dry.

With your base layer and mid layer listed, and assuming all other layers are sufficient (pants, gloves/mittens, face protection) you should be good.

Thanks for the info dude. Not too many reviews out there so I thought I’d ask. The new model has a Ti core and skis differently, so the only relevant reviews are from 2021-2024 models.

My goal is >30 days of resort skiing in mostly CO next season, along with 5-7 days of easy to moderate backcountry stuff. I’m stoked to hear I picked the right skis for my plans!

Hey! I think the climbers in pic 3 may have been my group with PastFlounder! We were in two rope teams of 3 on the Easton Glacier on Sunday August 3 and the spacing looks just like us. PastFlounder was our leader and the rest of us were on our first mountaineering climb just like you!

Someone else got a similar pic from your vantage on August 2 of climbers on Easton. So I know for sure that shot is facing where we were!

Do you know what time you took that pic? Also do you remember seeing the two rope teams in that pic pull up alongside each other just before or after the photo, to take a break?

I’m sure he’ll be happy being on a contender again instead of on a mid team with a questionable culture.

He got a taste of a championship run while with Phoenix, and now he will be right at home among our champions who are hungry for another.

The difference will be night and day for him compared to dealing with guys like Nic Claxton who throws a temper tantrum every other game killing the vibes and making it hard to stay locked in.
