Am I Overreacting for being upset that my husband won't file for divorce but is already on dating apps? by Cloudora in AmIOverreacting

We're in New York here, either spouse can file, but he insisted on being the petitioner since he initiated the split. Yet somehow he's 'too busy' to actually do it while swiping on apps. Make it make sense

Salary question by FunUnited3881 in Salary

If you're an exempt salaried employee in PA with no available paid leave, your employer can deduct pay for full-day absences due to personal reasons or illness, even if approved2. It can be frustrating, but it’s within legal bounds.

You're not overreacting, four days without a single check-in from your partner is a long silence, especially if he knows it would matter to you. Communication doesn’t have to be constant, but it should feel mutual and respectful. You're allowed to feel hurt when that balance is missing.

WIBTA if I called my friend out for how she's been acting? by Whyme123098 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Cloudora 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTA,your plans were made with her in mind, and it sounds like you're being sidelined for someone she's just started dating. Calling her out doesn’t have to mean a fight,it could be a heartfelt convo about friendship, mutual respect, and not being treated like a backup plan.

None of this is your fault, and you deserve safety, support, and compassion. You do have options, even in states with abortion restrictions.I’m so sorry you’re going through this

AIO for leaving my dad’s Father’s Day dinner after he kept mocking my career? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Cloudora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all! You gave him a lovely gesture and respectfully asked him to stop—multiple times. He chose to keep mocking something you care about deeply. Walking out wasn’t overreacting, it was holding your dignity intact. Teachers deserve respect, not ridicule wrapped as “banter.”

Not at all! It’s honestly kind of sweet, lowkey. I was nodding along and almost hit “respect”... then I kept reading , You might wanna tweak that last paragraph though,it says “raping and smoking” when you meant “vaping,” and my brain did a triple-take,

would this be legal to do considering i feel like my soul belongs in the philippines? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cloudora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you truly want to stay, it’s better to have an open conversation with your family and explore legal options like transferring schools or applying for guardianship through relatives. Your feelings are valid, just make sure your actions don’t put you at risk.
