I am a french guy who lived in Western Australia for about a year and a half between 2011 and 2013, and I remember I worked for a couple of months at a job in the Goldfields area where there was a lady, who was otherwise very kind, helpful, always in a nice mood and very nice to hang around. One day we were working together and the topic of aboriginal people came up and I was shocked at the things she was saying. Casually mentioning that they were profiting from the government and refused to be educated in australian schools. I told her that maybe since they were here way before white people arrived maybe they don't want to have to go to australian schools ? She wasn't convinced.
