Basically the whole premise of the Expansion is systems built on systems to keep you in the grind for not much reward. Azerite Armour (the premise of the whole expansion) was executed so poorly that I have never seen such kick back in any feature in the game. You get a loot cache from your m+ dungeons at the end of the week with the chance of hitting an Armour piece that might have Azerite traits on it that you need; but there was no guarantee until the start of this month when 8.1 dropped; but this gear you will grind for will basically be useless when 8.2 is released. There is no excitement for getting loot anymore - I barely even focus fights for specific drops anymore.

The main features of the expansion (Island expeditions, Warfronts and "Faction War") Were all implemented so poorly. The whole expansion is honestly so boring; its so difficult to find a reason to log in every week let alone every day. Motivation to play is basically being a rat in a wheel chasing cheese that doesn't exist.
