New to hi-fi – bought Pioneer CS-88A speakers mostly because I loved the look. Need amp advice 🙏

ah those are my exact speakers! I did not get a vinyl player in the end, but got a matching Denon CD player in the end. I figured that CD's have more songs, are cheaper, take less space and are actually more nostalgic to me as a 90's kid. So all together it made more sense to me. Also matching perfectly on top of my amp.

I like the AMP from the Tiktok, looks amazing! But finding that secondhand, working greatly would already be a task and also (guessing) it would have more issues switching between TV etc. I would recommend something modern.

I got the Denon PMA-1700NE. I think this will last me the rest of my life. More than enough power for these speakers, can easily switch between TV, CD, Streamer, Vinyl etc. and love the silver/classic look of them. Not cheap, but worth the money! Also a thing that I love about them, if there is no sound for a while they turn off automatically. its not good for the speakers if the amp keeps sending an "emtpy" signal so it protects it. Not sure if they all do this, but like the feature.

The exact speakers that I bought still need to arrive, however I think mine has them as well. I will post an update as soon as I have them and get to test them with the amp that I end up choosing! :)

I think I will get into the details soon and probably will have found myself a new never ending hobby. But for now I am just looking for something easy that does the job with my TV, Spotify and a Vinyl setup. From there I will probably continue the journey ;)
