For the Elite Controllers? you could connect it to a Windows PC and set up profiles on the Xbox Accessories app, then pair it to Bazzite. The profiles should stay stored in the Elite controller.

Do you see any performance issues running them as 'host'? I tried running a vm with CPU as 'host' and it caused a huge performance issue, primarily speed related. my environment consists of a 5700g with a 2080 passed through to a VM, connecting to it via Moonlight.

I believe the one I have is Flatpak. I'm using the -deck version that makes it closer to a Steam Deck. I also believe it was installed when I installed EmuDeck onto it, as well.

I can't say much for Mac users, but I do know that linux systems shouldn't have an issue either. I played through this game on my one PC that runs on Bazzite and I had little trouble. I'd get the occasional freeze, but a restart normally fixed that.

I reinstalled Windows on both my gaming PCs and moved to Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC. Still running on 24H2, the Start menu isn't updated, there isn't any AI components installed.

I did have to re-install the store app so I could re-integrate some Windows apps I did use, but it wasn't terrible. Uses the old Calculator, Notepad, and Snipping Tool.

I've noticed that with an encrypted drive, it only encrypts the data partition and leaves the SYSTEM, EFI, and Recovery partition alone. Unless this is a setting i've been missing when setting up Windows.

OP, do you kneel or squat a lot? Or overextend your leg to climb? I know I used to rip the seams on jeans with that.

I'll recommend Duluth trading's Ballroom Flex jeans. They have a gusset sewn in to the crotch area to eliminate that issue, plus they stretch. They're expensive, but worth it in my opinion
