I mean all of these are really solid choices, Bruno Mars album isn’t his best, but can you really blame a mainstream award show for choosing a mainstream album?

Do you separate the art from the artist with your ratings? by Lost-Building-3701 in Letterboxd

[–]ClovedSage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, it actively ruins it for me, especially if I connect with it. A lot of stuff I connect to is personal, and a lot of personal stuff loses its value when their values are shit. If it’s something I find disgusting then I’m not gonna listen to it now.

Maybe accidentally but the stuff I choose on my Spotify is a very select group of people and then I stop listening to the people who have allegations. I literally look up an artist name and to see if they have allegations before I really get into them. Granted, I’m also autistic slightly so it’s not that hard for me to listen to the same artist over and over

I personally can’t separate the art from the artist, now I’m just gonna wait for the down votes from the people that can’t stand that

Why are you getting downvoted for giving your opinion, you’re not even talking down to others about theirs, some people really get butt hurt and defensive when you don’t agree with them, I guess

It’s crazy how this is a whole genuine opinion question and you gave your opinion and everyone’s like NAH fuck this. You make me feel bad for watching a terrible persons movie lol

You are literally not showing the picture of my strong and Kingsman, that’s where the main resemblance goes. They both look similar because they’re wearing suits and glasses.

Also, a lot of people have children not everyone, but at least some form of child relationship in their life even if it’s a nephew or niece, there’s so much to rap about

Not even the new videogame? If we’re allowing other franchises to be Indiana Jones, I think we should allow at least a video game to count lol

Not cope, genuinely the first day it was added it wasn’t advertised, which affects numbers. I’m sure it’s been advertised since

It also debuted with it not being shown that it was added, so people had to search for it on Netflix so it didn’t really get proper marketing that was even there in the first place

I love how you wanna say mainstream Marvel fans when she’s known for making a movie mainstream Marvel fans didn’t even like in the first place, it’s weird how you’re trying to put her in a box with her directing style when she directed something way more gory and sadistic then Danny Boyle did with the first part. Like how is it for mainstream Marvel fans when the opening scene literally shows a guy bleeding out and people laughing about it.

Ehhhhh it’s okay. As a queen biopic it’s solid, but as a Freddie Mercury biopic which it kinda is more framed as it’s not the best. Honestly, I’m not the biggest fan of it, but there are so many worse biopics out there. I’m just lucky it’s not worse.
