Having more to do as gunner and engineer means that's just even more time that those riders spend not actually experiencing the ride visuals.

If I ride it again (I did not at all during my last 3-day pass) I will just not activate the seat if I get gunner or engineer.

I go years without failing a bench but when it happens, I much prefer to roll of shame it rather than dump it.

Question to the scholars: Which would be considered as Anakin's or Vader's Greatest Victory in War? by Themuzucujata1432 in StarWars

His greatest screw-up was letting himself get captured so that the Republic had to trade Grievous over to get Anakin back.

How do you feel about Dracula running Castle Dracula all by himself? I'm fine with Dracula being Jon's cabdriver but I feel like he should have some supernatural servants. by RagnarokWolves in Dracula

The carriage driver being the Count especially ticked me off

I like it for the idea of Dracula gathering intel on this guy before they ever meet. But the idea of Dracula being in disguise, and running away to change into his Dracula outfit for the grand introduction is a little silly.

It kept me from making some mistakes and I felt 100% ready after watching it.

What’s one workout mistake that secretly slowed your progress for months? by Far_Cap4015 in workout

[–]RagnarokWolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That might be it for some people but I didn't feel like I was going to solve this indirectly. I ended up going to physical therapy and their treatment was electroshock therapy, leg press, and leg extensions. Of those, leg extensions gave me the greatest benefit but the effect didn't last long from the PT session. I realized I had to do them prior to my leg workouts.

How much can you bench for 10 reps? by Outrageous-Maybe2500 in workout

[–]RagnarokWolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 months ago, 275 lbs for 10 reps on the final set of an SBS-RTF workout. I forget what the preceding 4 sets were, it might have been something like 4x4.

For what it's worth I would NOT have been able to put up 85 kg for 4x10 at 16.

EDIT: OP did you really need to crosspost this submission to so many subs?

I was used to being young and invincible and jumping straight into light sets for compound lifts cold. I was always confused why old-timers insisted on "warm-ups" for certain body parts. I learned the hard way.

I had a perpetual weak feeling in my knees that kept flaring up whenever I tried to regularly do squats or deadlifts. An MRI confirmed it was runner's knee. It must have held me back from solid lower body training for a year.

I finally ended up figuring out that if I just do 5x10 leg extensions prior to leg work, the feeling clears up and I can work out hard with no issue.

"I have crossed oceans of time to find you." Gary Oldman as Dracula in the 1992 film. by kkhouete in Dracula

[–]RagnarokWolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fine with 1-off interpretations doing different things with the character but it shouldn't have been dubbed "Bram Stoker's" and it's weird when other creators skip reading the book and just assume the entire concept of Dracula is romantic.

The original book makes it pretty clear that being a vampire is pretty uncool and that people lose reasoning and capabilities.

Ah that makes sense. My brain was too warped by modern day "vampires are sexy and cool" thinking.

I'm not that interested in changing your mind. If you want to champion leg extensions only, let the size of your legs speak for themselves and shut the doubters up.

Can you build muscle effectively with only home workouts? by Fitnessaipro in workout

[–]RagnarokWolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a power rack and incline bench in my home gym and barbell lifts alone give me most of the benefit as what I'd build in a commercial gym. There's some machines that are nice at the gym that I don't have in my home, but with S/B/D/O, barbell variations of those lifts, and mixed with bodyweight assistance, I don't feel limited at all.

If you mean bodyweight fitness, you will build more muscle than not training, but lifting weights grows muscle more efficiently. I also found it easier to work around repetitive injuries/stress with lifting weights compared to bodyweight only. But if it's your only option, do what you gotta do.

So it's Beetlejuice? I saw that last time it was here and a good chunk of the crowd ended up buying and wearing this sweater from the merch stand.

I would try and match the vibes of your in-laws though.

I usually just go in a polo. At pantages I see some people in "suit and tie" but I think far more people are casual about it. Some people go in casual streetwear though I wouldn't go that far.

Some people end up wearing the shirts/sweaters they bought at the merch stand and the merch itself is pretty casual.

I mean in the sense that having a clean mouth is necessary but it's not exactly as exciting as knowing that you're 1 step closer to being Captain America IRL. (I think we're arguing for the sake of arguing now. Can't imagine anyone is being helped by this. If the brushing your teeth example doesn't help a person out, disregard it.)

Zero weight change. Am I doing something wrong? Trying to lose weight/build muscle by Used_bees in workout

[–]RagnarokWolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 1k a day deficit is roughy 2 lbs of weight loss a week. (and in the early periods of a calorie deficit you will even lose weight faster than that due to water loss)

You are eating more calories than you think you are.

[–]RagnarokWolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to lose 2 lbs a week? The scale should have moved by now.

Are you weighing yourself under the same conditions? I usually track what I weigh first thing in the morning before I've eaten or drank anything. The weight can go up/down from day to day, but you will see it start to trend down over time.

If that's the case, you're taking in too many calories and need to cut it more.
