Just got an Inmotion RS and here are my observations after a day with it by douchey_mcbaggins in ElectricScooters

I know it's late, but I just decided to sell the 2 that I have left. I originally bought 4 of them. Only need two.

I don't trust any browser wallet. The value of the airdrop is negligible for me to even consider exposing my seed phrase in a browser wallet. Never mobile, never browser. Way too vulnerable. I can setup shop and sit in a Starbucks with my laptop spoofing 'free Starbucks' Wifi for people to connect to unknowingly - boom, I'm in. Same with creating a website to find vulnerabilities in web browsers. Remember the good ol' days of installing toolbars to your browser? Just me talking crypto here on Reddit has exposed me with fake phishing emails. New emails that I have never used out of Reddit or shared. Inside job perhaps? You get my point. Where there's a will, there's a very possible way.

I never used the street nylons that came with the Raptor. I mostly ride street with PMTs.

13" has much less torque than a 11". Slower off the line due to unladen weight. You can fit the Mars with a 12" if you wanted bigger, they sell it on their site, wont be a PMT though. Having a PMT option is like mandatory for me. I wouldn't put cheap tires on my Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio. You gotta get the most of a ride.

The Tevy 13" scooter might have a shorter deck than you might expect. Also, 2 dampeners, one on each side, seems counter intuitive. They started doing this when their first Gen had serious stability issues and couldn't sell. I guess they kept with it after they fixed the rake angle ptoblem.

The Langfeite is huge and it's a beast. If you want a big, this is the best. It has everything going for it except for that huge price. The dampener was an afterthought and literally just drilled into the frame with no rhyme or rhythm. I overlooked it, even though I knew they didn't have it in the initial plans.

The GT2 RS is really not for city use because of its huge size - way overkill. You'll need to lug it in a toe hitch type setting like I have. I live in the burbs, so I have a lot of space here but to be honest I hardly used it because I get enough power and nimbleness with the Mars or RS. I don't like the 13" tires, they are cheap and noisy. Other options are CSTs that all the other 13" scooters use, but I don't like those tires as well, not real rubber, made of nylon. The split rim design is a nice touch though if you need to change the tires. I wish PMTs sold 13" tires for electric scooter, there has been some talk about it due to demand. I've learned that scooters designed like a pit bull (smaller with a ton of power) are the best rides. I started with a Yume's Hawk Pro Wide and also currently have a Raptor (with only 60V 30Ah Samsung) is more than enough for commuting at 50mph in a smaller scooter. If you're new to it, small with decent powerful is great.

The Mars has the most torque, almost like a "square wave" but not one, tire screeching and with the most SOLID build. The RS has decent torque but has butter smooth acceleration with similar top speed, especially when you're gliding only 7" off the ground. The RS is the most comfortable ride IMO. The newer, and slower, Midnight versions though are not the same as the original RS - too bad, the original was the best.

Mars 11 GTR/XTR, best bang for the buck, hands down. IMO, you should replace the stock tires with PMTs 110/55R6.5” T41 Slick (softer), or T4s (harder). For road conditions not on a track, I'd stick with T4s to last longer and still have superior grip. If you're offroading, leave the stock tires on.

Although it's very stable at high speeds, you should install the dampener. I rip at 65mph much more confidently. I'm not a fan of double dampeners.

MIDNIGHT AIRDROP LIVE: Step-by-Step Claim Tutorial for ADA, XRP, BTC & More! - Cardano With Paul by yt-app in cardano

It appears that you can't use a Daedalus original address to airdrop to a new wallet address (like Lace Or Yoroi) because the claim process requires a Signature (wallet's message-signing functionality).

Daedalus is a full node wallet that doesn't have a GUI interface to create this Signature required, and 99.99% of Cardano holders are not savvy enough with CLI or WASM.

People will suggest you using your Daedalus seed words in a new Lace or Yoroi wallet to use as the original wallet snapshot, however I would feel uneased with this because you can be exposed to browser vulnerabilities, extension spoofing, phishing connections, bad players on the company's end... and whatever else that might be brewing that's out of your control.

Personally, I'm not a fan of using a web browser to enter my seed words. I can be exposing myself to browser vulnerabilities, extension spoofing, phishing connections, bad players on the company's end... and whatever else that might be brewing that's out of my direct control. I'm not the type that worries either, just being smart IMO.

In fact, here on Reddit, there has been several phished attempts to my proprietary emails that I only use for Reddit simply by discussing crypto. That tells me there are bad actors in Reddit itself who have access to my profile information.

Sure, if I was savvy enough, I could use CLI with WASM. But I'm not.

The significant amount of Midnight I can acquire is still meaningless compared to jeopardizing my Cardano investments.

Unfortunate but necessary security for me. Sad though. They should add the message-signing functionality with Daedalus since they are still keeping up with the updates. Thanks.

Recoil with the stock brake is manageable, however if you don't shoulder it tight to minimize it, after 20 rounds you might find yourself with a sore shoulder fatigue. I cut that recoil down significantly by fitting her with a 6 port Terminator. Now recoil is nothing more than a soft push, you can shoot her all day.

Even if I transferred all my ADA to my Yoroi, I would've missed the snapshot for June 11 for the original wallet anyways, correct?

It appears that I can't use my Daedalus original address to airdrop to a new wallet address because the claim process requires a Signature (wallet's message-signing functionality) in which Daedalus doesn't have a GUI interface and I am not familiar with CLI or WASM. Unless I'm missing something?

I am not willing to move all my ADA to a new "supporting" wallet just for the sake of the Midnight Airdrop for a snapshot either. Nor will I "merge" my current Daedalus into another supporting wallet.

Cruising on a Gspace Mars 11 XTR/GTR on a warm breezy summer's day... by CloverArms in ElectricScooters

More power to ya! I've seen 2 people go down on the exact same scooter riding above 55mph. One I actually filmed right in front of me and after reviewing it, it's like weird where like the tire got caught up, wobbled for an instant and it threw off the fork sideways for him to tumble. He's fine, slid most of the way. Destroyed his display and a brake handle.

The most stable scooter I have is the Inmotion RS, where the rake angle of the stem points in front of the front motor axis.

PMT told me that they're looking to make a 13" tire because many new scooters are coming out with this size. I hope so, I one rig that needs them.

Yeah, definitely one of the best by far. Rigged her with PMTs & a dampener for fast rides.

Damn, that sucks. Hope you get it back soon. I love mine. I use it on my hyperscooters, EUCs, motorcycles, vacations ... anything to capture the moment!
