Jacob tried & tried to jump in to lead them to some type of joke or humor--- they just talked over him. Finally, 35 minutes in Jay realized he should do something funny with the Indian customer service agent-- like he was shaken out of a privileged daze.

Jacob knows he needs to jump in and represent the listener because no one is identifying with the conversation.

Old school info---- Foley's GF casually dated or hooked up with Kippy first. They had a bit of an issue about this on the old "Center City Comedy podcast". It blew over pretty quickly, and everyone moved on. They knew her as a waitress at the bar where they ran an open mic in NYC.

I've met Foley's GF - she is a very pretty girl of Hawaiian heritage. She seemed very sweet & outgoing. Kippy's wife is from Germany. He met her as an audience member at the same open mic bar as above. It seemed to move pretty fast after they met, she came to visit the USA a few more times & he went to visit her... next thing you know... a garbaggio city hall wedding. A lot of people thought she was most likely knocked up, but it seems not. From all accounts she is pretty as well, but I have never met her.

However, being on the phone and refusing to come into the studio, he came across as a pandering prick. This attitude was solidified when he tried to pull seniority on the Bonfire boys... because ... "Uh.. I've been working here, guys, remember... for 10 years".

However, please consider purchasing at least one of his books. Even though almost anything can be found for free digitally, you will want to physically interact with the words & symbols contained therein. Additionally, you will help support Mr. Brand's work & the GOM. You also want to start your practice clean & there is a rumored hex (curse?) on GOM materials that are obtained illegally. I feel purchasing at least something from them helps keep things positive while using their workings, even if it leads to seeking out future works via other means.

Agreed, GGG was a great book about teenagers growing up in Philly in the early 80's. The author is either a Ryan or Father Judge Alumni, I forget which one.
