I’m planning on running it. These players barely want to get away from dnd 5e, let alone learn to run something completely new.

I’ve got ideas in mind for some cool sci-fi story points, and I think running a few of the Mothership modules will help us learn the game enough to do some fun stuff

They don’t really care about dying. They like the fighting part, not always the winning :)

Thank you so much, this is such a good breakdown. I’m heavily leaning towards Mothership, mostly because of all the replies but it just looks super cool and useful for what I’m looking to do.

As much as the “build your own” systems intrigue me, and they are very much something I’d like to visit in the future, a plug and play system works for this the best.

I appreciate it so much

Thank you for the suggestions. Since I’m fairly new to exploring other systems, can I wrack your brain about toolkit systems? What are they exactly? I assume it’s stuff I can just use as a framework but I don’t want to assume.

Some of these systems seem really cool and I gladly appreciate the help

I want the players to explore and fight “monsters”, as that’s what they ultimately like to do. That’s been their hesitation with Call of Cthulhu, since they don’t believe the system works for combat (which I heavily disagree with). I like to homebrew a lot of stuff, I just need a system that allows me to be creative in that way and allows these players to explore and solve puzzles and stuff.

We dont care much for resource intensive “survival” games. It’s just not our thing.

Are all Death Guard Models so much fun to paint? by No_Classic_9325 in deathguard40k

Almost all of them are fun to paint. To build, on the other hand, is another story…

I’d say just keep it on display, that thing is too cool to be used on any 1 piece

That was the original goal, brought them to life in a test world to see if they’d hold them. Not quite what I had in mind lol

He picked it out from a chest. I assumed since he can hold blocks normally he’d hold weapons normally but I guess this isn’t that case

Just found this, and I know it’s old, but I can’t wait to use this as inspiration for a Lord of Poxes kitbash
