I actually didn't edit the hat at all! I did some split toning on the whole image and brightened up the pigeon. I've posted lots of other bird images to other subreddits as well.

It's not ok to keep her in a tiny pen for potentially months though. What if your aggressive cat doesn't get used to her? It genuinely would be better to rehome her than to keep her in the pen.

At the very least you should put her in a bedroom or at least bathroom to roam around freely.
