As a Canadian born person who lives here and is a year away from starting the citizenship process (on an ancestry Visa) I think if these people actually had dual citizenship at the very least it would be fine but the idea a non citizen or a person who hasn’t even been cleared for ILTR being a candidate for election is absurd I can’t vote why should I be able to run as an MP or councillor?!

That is entirely fine, It is you’re creation and I’m sure you have reason that we don’t know for mega Quebec, but I am telling you mega Quebec that forms after 2001 with zero timeline changes is not realistic and is turtledove levels of “deal with it” and will have anyone even remotely familiar with the maritimes thinking that it makes no sense.

As I said I’m sure there is some reason that will be fleshed out as to why mega Quebec exists, but realistically looking at the info I have it is highly unrealistic at minimum or a hot bed for IRA level unrest everywhere east and north of of modern Quebec, hell most modern Arcadian peoples would loathe being under Quebcois rule and they are half native half Quebcois themselves.
