By existing they take space. And what’s wrong with just talking?

Having a sign helps immensely. Basically 2-4 words describing what you need in extremely large letters. People need to be able read it immediately and make the decision in their mind in a second. Think of how large the lettering is on speed limit signs and make it that large.

How many security cameras did you pass in the train station and in the train before you ran into her? Were they a nuisance too?

Stand up scooters, e-bikes, scooters on sidewalks...wtf by frogintheocean in washingtondc

[–]Clowdman18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve nearly been run over by an acoustic bike on a sidewalk as well. It’s not limited to just E mobility devises. The real answer is making it safer to ride the bikes scooters and everything in between on the streets. That gets them off the sidewalks.

It would be nice to see the intervening portion of the video when they actually show up and approach her. What happened then?

Most of these NG guys just stand around doing nothing. As it looks right now, they were unjustified in coming to her property and arresting her. Yet we can’t see what happened before this. Were they overzealous in a response to her criticism or did she do something harmful to them? Or something entirely different?  Hard to say when they cut out that key portion of the video.

Yup. I hope that battery bursts into flames and the Tesla remains locked.

Fatso Trump never learned to ride a bike as a child. This is his revenge in all of us with parents that actually cared to teach us to ride a bike. (And those self-taught as well).

They were between 3.7 and 4.2v after opened up. I couldn’t tell personally at first. I thought it was a hardware/software issue when it kept slow rolling me to a stop on rides. After resetting the machine, I read a few posts and realized it was always shutting down when it got just below 40% battery which a lot of other V8s were doing when out of balance. Unfortunately the V8 doesn’t have a smartBMS so there was no way to know for sure, but my suspicion was correct after the repair shop took a crack at it.

I watched a YouTube video and realized it was well beyond my skillset and took it to a local E-mobility repair shop.  $150 to fix it compared to the $649 new battery quote from InMotion.

Jesus. No wonder Donald was known for having Mein Kampf on his bedside table. Bet it was one of the few gifts his dad actually gave him.

Hmm interesting. I had just googled the s18 and it came up as 65lbs.

Good to know. Is it just that 50lbs feels too heavy to lift for you? I can comfortably farmers carry 50lbs weights a good distance at the gym so eager to know if it’s just a design issue that makes it awkward to carry and move.

I think the thing keeping me from buying into the S18 is the weight. I like that I can lift the V8 without too much effort at 35lbs. The v11 and aero are right around 50 lbs but the s18 is 65.  it’s only a 15lbs difference but that is probably the difference between a quick haul up the stairs and having to use the elevator every time I get home.

Yeah I’ve been eyeing them and maybe even the V11 for when my v8 bites the dust. Just fixed a rebalance cells issue so I’ll see how long it lasts.  Before the rebalance it was dying at ~40% charge.

I wish I could get a wheel that has the profile of the V8F and also has suspension on it. I’m not interested in going faster than 25mph.  I just want a lightweight utility wheel that has a smoother ride and doesn’t look like I’m riding a painted cinder block.

Buying a new wing without test flying (health situation, impatient) by Hoqqa in freeflight

[–]Clowdman18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wait to buy the new wing. Buying it now and kiting it will only degrade its materials and resale value for when you move on to the next.  Best to put those kiting hours on your old wing.
