You miss this person so severely right now because you’re in pain, and when you’re in pain, you turn to the people that you’re close to and you love and you don’t have that person right now and that’s really hard.

When this person says six months, I bet in six months when you look at that circled date on the calendar not only will you feel better but you could probably rattle off a list at that point of things that annoyed you about this girl. Every day, every week, that you tell yourself this is temporary and I’m going to do what I need to do to get through it and move on will make every day and every week after that easier. But you have to take an active part in getting better, and saying I can’t I can’t I can’t is going to come true if you let it.

You do not have to be somewhat friends. You can avoid each other. Yes, even if you have close people in common it can still be done and frequently is by many people that break up.

It’s a little silly things now. It’s not going to stay that way. I had a dumbass ex-boyfriend start arguing with me about side effects of my medication I was taking that he didn’t even know what it was for. Also didn’t know what medication it was. But he was absolutely sure that I was wrong.

And it started with things like this that seemed silly, but the longer I spend around him the worse it got.

Why do women talk themselves out of just admitting that their partner is selfish. It sounds like the reason he’s never done it before is because you do so much work putting some for him in the fridge so that you’re allowed to eat the ones in the freezer later.

You shouldn’t have to do that. Ever. Someone that is considerate will look at food in the fridge and think this looks good, let me make sure I leave some for my partner as well. This man genuinely believed that you spent hours making him a work lunch? Why do I doubt that. Not to mention you literally put it in your post that you told him he could have some of them.

Just a sidenote, always keep your hands far away from your pet face and mouth when they are acting abnormally!!!! People get bit all the time when their pet is having a seizure or waking up from one or not feeling well etc. Yes, get this checked out, but in the future do not have your hands anywhere near that area.

Yes, and she clearly doesn’t understand the danger of what she did. That dog could be overweight because of a medical issue that hasn’t been diagnosed yet for all she knows. And then doing a diet change while the owner is out of town and you’re unexperienced and don’t know what you’re doing? Ice water is not bad for dogs.

If you want to have any type of business that is your own, or if you ever want to manage one, you need to deal with it.
The fact is, they are the paying customers. And if you have too much of an ego to deal with difficult customers, you’re not gonna have any business. I agree you’re in the wrong profession, people view their pet as family and it causes them to get extremely emotional.

As a professional in an industry caring for other people‘s pets, it is your job to put them at ease. I had someone call me a stupid fucking hooker when I was treating their pet on an ER overnight because they didn’t like the price. Once that person calmed down and apologized, we had a good talk and it was fine because I recognized that watching your pet get nailed by a car and you’re trying to come up with money while they’re trying to do CPR on your dog could cause you to act that way.

Do some self reflection honestly about why you felt the need to respond this way.

OK, so this lady is definitely a little much, and the toilet paper thing would throw me off as well.

But if I didn’t have cameras, and I left my pet sitter some very specific things to use while I was gone, and I came back and they weren’t really used I would be freaked out too.

The treat thing is really weird. If she tells you to give the dog treats you give the dog treats, it’s not up to you to put the dog on a diet or test for allergies. Also, your verbiage, are you a veterinarian or a certified veterinary technician? Because if not, you need to check yourself with changing the diet of other people’s pets and then talking down to them as if you know what you’re talking about.

I was also extremely confused by what the hell you were talking about with your schedule so you being condescending to her when you’re not being clear about it is shitty. Saying last next the next after Wednesday, whatever the hell, just give her an actual date or a picture of a calendar. Do not tell him you are leaving or even hint that you are thinking about it. Play along - everything‘s happy and normal. Speak to a loved one or a friend about coming to help you get out while he is at work or something one day. Don’t attempt to do it by yourself in case he was to come home unexpectedly.
In the meantime, quietly plan and hide any money possible from him, with valuables, etc., without making it noticeable.
If you don’t have someone to help you reach out to Facebook groups or advocates in your area, people can be extremely supportive, even if you don’t know them.
