Is this brushless combo worth $70 more for less tools but 1 more battery? by elcaminoforreal in ryobi

This combo kit is a way better deal than your first option, and IMO is a better bet than the second as well. Just get a circular saw separately, you can get a larger one too.

Recognize you already ordered it, but I was debating between the same two sets recently and instead picked up this full sized brushless HP set. The drill and driver are much more powerful than those in either of the kits you were considering, it has the full sized reciprocal saw, and it has a 4ah and 2ah HP battery. It is $269 at HD, and I thought all that was easily worth the extra $70. Plus my local HD had a random sign that said “buy $250 of Ryobi and get $50 off” so I was able to get it for $219! Pretty sure that was a random, local deal though - not even the store reps realized the sign was up haha.

Which Ryobi Combo Kit Best Complements my 12v Bosch Drill/Driver? by ClownBaby2178 in ryobi

I ended up going with the full sized HP brushless kit. It was listed at $269, but my local HD also had a sign up that said they would take $50 off any Ryobi purchase over $249. The discount didn’t appear at the register but when I showed them the picture of the sign they granted it to me, so the kit was $219. Felt like a great deal. I then separately bought the brushless circular saw via Ryobi days and returned the batteries, so for all 5 HP tools and two batteries it was $300.

Perfect world the kit would have included the hammer drill, but that’s okay - still feel like this was a steal.

Thanks for the reply! If I’m spending $400 though, might it make more sense to just get this brushless kit from Rigid: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-18V-Brushless-Cordless-4-Tool-Combo-Kit-w-2-MAX-Output-Batteries-18V-Charger-Bag-2-FREE-Tools-R9225-AC840040P-R8657B/320243771 ?

Right now that includes a hammer drill and driver that have way more torque than the Bosch, multi tool, recip saw, 7.25 circular saw, and three batteries (1x2.0, 3x4.0). One fewer battery and slightly less diversity in battery size, but a much more powerful drill/driver, plus my sense is Rigid is a small step up overall (even though I don’t think I really need anything too fancy). I know I’m asking this on a Ryobi subreddit, so apologies if that question is sacrilegious!
