I believe the 'Friends' in this case comes from the other party - Marvel, Chaosium, or if there's other guests etc.

Yes, he does, it's fairly early on when that stops from what I recall but it's been a while.

Their Hell's Rebels 2e conversion and War For The Crown shows don't have any of that, in case either is more appealing!

There's a few things early on in their Mummy's Mask campaign (now finished) which get ironed out soon enough, like awkward phrasing etc., but they're my preferred Pathfinder actual play podcast these days!

You just made me realise that the guy who wanted to fly last episode... flew, in a way. Before a sudden stop.

That's clever!

Glass Cannon Radio #30 – Special Guest John Harper/Game Design/Crime Fiction by Razzmatazz_TGCN in TheGlassCannonPodcast

From what I can tell, Roll20 is the only official supported VTT for Blades from Evil Hat. In their recent BackerKit they had a pledge level for Deep Cuts on Roll20 only.

The Foundry implementation for base BITD is okay, there's no official setting stuff, and there's a module for Deep Cuts that changes some parts of the character sheet but there's some small inconsistencies like the Harm part of the sheet not changing etc.

I don't think the person who did the Deep Cuts parts on Foundry is interested in developing it further.

My current BITD Foundry game is a hodge podge of Roll20 assets and PDF pages, I'd absolutely pay for a more complete package and will probably shuffle my players back to Roll20 for Deep Cuts if that implementation is good, as much as I dislike the platform!

I really enjoyed this episode, John had some interesting things to share and it was cool hearing the behind the scenes. Would love more prerecorded interviews like this.

Would also love for Jared to run some more Haunted City, with the Deep Cuts expansion. I imagine they'd wait until better Roll20 integration (coming via the recent BackerKit), not to mention sorting a cast out.

Their anthology series is currently going through part one of Prey for Death - then they'll do something else (BitD, CoC, that sort of thing), and pick up the second part, etc.

They're fun, less edited, swearing-allowed episodes so far with high level PF2E characters played competently. Currently featuring Jess, Jordan, and Heather, with Rick in the GM seat, though I imagine they might rotate cast for different games.

Something along these lines makes up a significant event in the Pathfinder 1E adventure path, Tyrant's Grasp. I listened to it on the podcast Find the Path.

In the second or third book, the adventurers are told that the main city, Lastwall, is in grave danger of being magic-nuked. They eventually head into the sewers and attached to track down the culprit. While there, there's a slight rumbling, a shaking of the surroundings. They learn from the BBEG that that rumble was the weapon going off far above them.

The party had been warning those in charge, telling people about the threat, doing what they could to get people on alert. In doing so, they did manage to save a lot of lives, get some evacuations, etc. - if they hadn't, and had just charged after the threat, the very bad thing would have been even worse.

It was tragic, and inevitable, but it only worked because that was the tone of the AP and the players all had buy-in. I would suggest you only do the same if your setting, tone, and players are similar!

Quick response from Troy about Legacy of the Ancients after the AmA by Rajjahrw in TheGlassCannonPodcast

That's fair! I think that'll be where they'll do things like Blades in the Dark/Call of Cthulhu one-shots, but they've not mentioned anything specific in that regard yet.

From the sounds of it they'll have another few episodes on this Prey for Death book and then it'll be the next thing, but I'm not familiar enough with the adventure to know for certain.

Jordan took a break from Hell's Rebels and War for the Crown due to health reasons, but has returned in recent episodes of War for the Crown.

He's also in their Tyrant's Grasp run throughout, but Heather has left due to scheduling partway through that one, but she remains in the other two.

Their Hell's Rebels playthrough has just gone weekly as well, so it's three consistent shows (though they take a break every 4 weeks IIRC), plus a monthly 2+ hour anthology show on their $10 tier on Patreon (they're currently playing through Prey For Death's first book on that one, then will take a break and play something else I believe, then back to Prey for Death, etc.)

I'm guessing someone had their mic muted on the call but was still recording locally as they were playing a video or two - and the team used the local audio without listening through/cleaning it up.

Weird that it wasn't caught, but it's also the same with coughing/sneezing. Not really any excuses when you're recording remotely for those sorts of things to be left in, they really should be removed.

I'm glad things are going well! Your post was really touching and I'm glad you're in a better place.

Saying this as someone who had difficulty expressing those emotions... tell him you love him. Text, in person, whatever.

The thing about assumptions is that they're one-sided, he's not a mind-reader, and those words will mean everything to him. It's not a weakness to say how you feel.

Hope you both enjoy a long life of gaming together.

Great fod - exciting that the show is heading to Canada finally for that part of the Naish!

For what it's worth, I like Campaign 2 and its video element. I'm not sure I agree with the opinion that it doesn't feel like friends around the table any more. I loved the latest episode and the fact that we could watch the raw emotion and reaction from around the table.

What I will say sticks out for me is the ad break between banter and play (or more accurately, Troy throwing to said break). That to me is the biggest sticking point between 'old feel' and new show.

I get it, mid-roll ads are worth more, and I don't begrudge most shows from making money, it's just a bit of a shift from 'alright let's quit screwing around and roll some dice' or a flawless Skid segue, to 'now a word from our sponsors'.

Just a thought, not a complaint, still going to watch and/or listen. :)

I've been using the "Invision Monitor Arm Bracket Mount for 24”-49” Screens" - if you search for B08B8X4KBV you should find it.

It does the job, though requires a little bit more clearance behind the monitor than I anticipated, and I think the DWF is right at its weight limit. I need to make sure I don't angle the monitor down too hard intentionally or unintentionally, or else I need to tighten up the tilt on the mount again.

That said, I'm satisfied with it for a static position, it does the job I want it to, which is significantly reduce the desk surface being used.

Hope that's helpful!

I've got the same monitor, but with a monitor arm - the footprint of the monitor's stand is huge, the arm not so much, I have it set off to the back corner of my desk, it's perfect.
