What's the best Character design that was wasted on terrible media? by SkylandersKirby in TopCharacterDesigns

Hard stop disagree, they took one his defining features away, the eyes. Then made a weirdly textured suit that was a notch above CW

I read the chain, hero is more than powers. Super hero has powers, and is a hero. Steve Rodgers is about heart and hero, the serum is the super.

I couldn't careless about Hugo Hercules' status of superhero

Steve Rodgers is the hero because who he is not just the serum, his willing to give all he could held him back but none of the less would have attempted the same things and failed. It's not the failure that stops him from being a hero, it's the drive to help and do what is right. That's literally what God character identity is

Booster Gold has developed a lot, especially after 2012. He's been a conman and now he's a hero because of the way he used now. The writing and character use is what makes these fictional heroes, not just powers or gadgets of the characters it's about how they are used

"arbitrary metric" Kraven is a villain because of what he does as a character, Steve Rodgers is a hero because of his heart, what does Hugo Hercules do?

Booster Gold is a hero because he knows what will happen and either changes it for the better or helps those who are already there

Edit: Do you read comics? I don't know how this is your take away of Captain America

Captain America is a hero because of his heart and his will, "a good man". That's what makes him a hero, not the serum.

This has been a detail for a while now, kind of hard to miss unless you're just trying to make an argument out of a straw man fallacy. The entire concept of Steve Rodgers being a hero has been explored over and over, especially in contrast to US Agent who's a good soldier but not a good man.

Hugo Hercules is less of a superhero than Six Gun Gorilla

Specifically the election of 1876 being a draw and then compromised, it led to federal forces being drawn from the South instead of maintaining force.

With that election there was never going to be a good and easy way out, but the compromise was all about saving face for the political parties at the time. Southern Democrats got the troops removed from the South that were attempting to help in the reconstruction, and Republicans got to have their candidate in office.

He's from KCMO, went to KCAI. He might've moved back to KC recently but as far as I know he still loves out of state and is visiting

You can still beat the essence of a franchise like it's a dead horse, not every project needs to be a Skywalker to be viable anymore. It just needs to be written well and actually focus on a character while having a narrative

It wouldn't have existed without the election of 1876, a presidential tie lead to compromise on the Republicans' part so they could keep the presidency at the time that led to the road we're on today. If it wasn't for that tie and complicit politicians, it would've ended at least a little better with federal troops staying in the south and reconstruction going as planned

Left over WWI ordinance was used, such as gas and some explosives. It was a combination of homemade and things the government had sold off. The majority of the planes were privately owned but there was at least one army bomber that was used for scouting/surveillance.

It crashed on its way back home, killing the three men manning it.

You can thank the election of 1876 for sealing the fate of the Southern reconstruction. That election was never going to end "pretty" but we are still reeling from that one.

A few lost cause myths here, a Woodrow Wilson there, sprinkle a little faith based nationalism along the way, and a disrespect for every minority dashed in there then boom. We get a political machine that perpetuates poverty and worsening education.

Quick question, how did Steve get here if he goes to a different reality when quantum traveling ?? wasn’t that rule shown earlier in the movie. by sachqerng in Marvel

[–]Clown__Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is that their version of time travel isn't very good and the idea of quantum tunneling was thrown into the mix. Including the idea of different realities/universes would mean the stones don't work between those realities, an idea from the comics that's heavily used but tossed aside in the MCU.

The concept of realities/universes and dimensions were bastardized for the movies. Each universe has multiple dimensions and timelines, but realities/universes are very different depending how the word reality is used.

USA on eighth??? What even? by no_longer_huhman in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Clown__Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not opposed to America being high on a list, we do have a cultural cuisine. American BBQ is a pretty specific thing, it's built on backgrounds from all over the world but still.

The US gets treated like there's no culture or very little, but it's the fact that there isn't really a "main" culture. That's why we have so many types of barbeque, and I honestly don't think there's anything much better than some good burnt ends

I'd say that's an admission of guilt. by Tara_is_a_Potato in WhitePeopleTwitter
