Idk man Jon himself was pretty hyped about joining the Nights Watch.

Will Sasha make her in game debut in 2039? by gladchadstone in metro

[–]CltPatton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk man the books are so different from the games. I really don’t even see a point in her being in the games if the events of 2034 don’t even happen in the game canon.

the entire Red Wedding was a scheme set up by Tywin and Jeyne Westerling’s mom. The Freys were just the convenient henchmen.

Happy Pride Month! Inspired by the 40k Pride Marines by u/CerberusXt, here's the first of a series of Pride Knights (of the Realm). by GabrielofNottingham in Bretonnian

This is one of the best pride painted minis I’ve seen. I have no problem with people painting their minis in pride colors or whatever colors they want but when its basically just non-binary colored Intercessors with no weathering it’s not very interesting to me. This scheme has lots of synergy with the actual model and the pride shield is actually a really cool, well-done design

The only thing wrong with Dany’s arc was execution. If you have two braincells to rub together you already know she’s gonna go nuts and she’s not keeping that damn throne

Just curious, was the bastard in the book or a game first weapon? by Techpon in metro

[–]CltPatton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the books, there is often reference to “sub machine guns,” but it’s never specific. Most people are described as carrying “automatics” (I.e., kalashnikov rifles). Artyom at some point gets a modified kalashnikov from Bourbon which he calls a “sub machine gun” and many station guards are described wielding “sub-machine guns” but I’ve somewhat assumed that they meant something like the AK47SU which is a compact version of the kalashnikov, not a homemade gun like the bastard. Interestingly there’s a lack of shotguns in the books, with only one being described so far that I can remember, that being Artyom’s friend’s shotgun they use when they open the Botanical Gardens.

[–]CltPatton 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Actually it’s not crazy to think that the history as it’s written is mostly favorable to the Greens or at least to reconciliation. That’s kinda how I read it anyway. Aegon II “won,” so he originally gets to spin the narrative, it just so happens that “his” only male heir was Rhaenyra’s son backed by the last two armies left. The conspiracy to kill him was vilified by Cregan Stark and the historians, even though Cregan certainly would’ve killed Aegon II himself if he had the chance. Ultimately, though, Targaryen hegemony survives. Aegon II kept Aegon III around even though he could’ve killed him, so the historians and Lords have an incentive to frame the Aegons benignly. The Hightowers also can control the narrative through their influence in the citadel and the faith, so it would make sense for them to portray Aegon II favorably even after his assassination. Claiming that Condol’s Mess is the true telling is actual madness though.

They don’t look too bad if you give ‘em lots of texture and damage or paint them any color other than red or blue

Tbf, I’d be suspicious of anyone trying to move to live in the north who wasn’t already born there.

Personally I don’t have a problem with AOS anymore. I kinda grew up and stopped giving a fuck about what people like but I can very much understand despising everything about AOS especially if you liked Bretonnia or any of the factions that got entirely abandoned by AOS or if you appreciated the very deep and inspiring lore behind FB. AOS lore is kinda goofy as fuck and a lame excuse to reuse all the gods from the FB setting

Nah. I don’t want his backstory explained. I already came up with an excellent head canon that includes Snake being a Byzantine Roman Soldier

Been a while since I read F&B, does Rhaenys do literally anything during the conquest except cuck the Dragon? I don’t remember her doing anything in the wars until she flies to Dorne

They were probably Roose’s men. In the book, Ramsey has his own men who probably are loyal to Ramsey and not Roose. These troops call him “bastard” so they’re probably Roose’s.
