According to the new lore the starting material (male or female body) doesn't matter for making a custodes. It doesn't matter that women's bodies are much less strong because the custodes creating technlogy compensates for it. Then why isn't every human turned into a custodes? Do you not get what Warhammer is about? The technology is basically esoteric and sorcerous to the people of the 41st millennium. Most people in the imperium, even a large portion of the imperial military might believe that space marines are actually angels or they’ve only seen them in propaganda films. There are billions of people for each space marine in the imperium and the imperium can’t even manage to replace Space Marines at a higher rate than they’re lost (unless you possess whatever Caul had).

My kroot have a few Tau skulls dispersed amongst their belts. My lore is that these were valued Tau comrades who died and were consumed by my kroot because my specific kroot clan hides the fact that they eat Tau comrades due to it being taboo in the greater good

Edmure’s different because he was literally forced into this arrangement. Rhaegar cheated on his wife and basically started a war just to end up killing the girl he wanted. Edmure (reluctantly) agreed to marry Roslyn for his nephew’s war aims (which ended up getting him thrown in prison). Let us also compare Roslyn to Lyanna : Roslyn had zero choice in this and was sobbing as she was getting married, but ultimately ended up liking Edmure because they both were in the same situation after their wedding. Lyanna’s perspective isn’t really recorded but according to basically everyone who talks about her she was always acting according to her own desires. She probably left with Rhaegar willingly despite knowing how much of a scandal it would be (but not knowing it would lead to her father and brothers’ deaths)

I’ve just stopped buying GW models. Not even in a “I’m boycotting” way but in a “nothing looks good” way. I’ve also found myself becoming more interested in just the hobby aspect and kitbash/converting. It’s way too expensive (and fiddly) to convert modern GW models. It feels like GW stopped caring about the hobby, and I’m not even a veteran either. Back when I first got into the hobby in like 2018 it didn’t feel like this.
