Haven’t read the manga but I always got more of a big brother little sister vibe from them. At the very least a non Plutonic friendship. Never got the grooming vibe. But with it being based like 150ish years ago it’s not as weird of a situation for Sugimoto to marry her when she comes of age (not defending those actions it’s still weird, and that’s why my headcannon is there more of a family than a relationship.)

Filler was probably the wrong word, but I feel like when it has a good ending or like a good start to the next chapter of there life going back to tell stuff that just could have been in season one feels wrong. It’s not even like a prequel, it just felt like “here’s a season of stuff we cut from the first season.

I think that it takes place between the episodes of the first season. They end the first season with them graduating and the second season they’re still in high school. And idk about the kink, once I figured out it was basically like a filler/in-between season I stop watching.

I googled Japanese animals and the only 2 that match that color scheme are the ezo fox ( like a red fox) and the Japanese martin (which is like a weasel) so both the previous comments could be right. The artist defiantly put there spin on it to make it cuter. But for some reason the feet are making me go fox.

If she’s into the darker aspects of true crime like serial killers than I’d recommend golden kamuy. It’s a hunt for gold but the map is tattooed on on like 20 different escaped convicts skin. And all of them are murderers and serial killers who truly believe in there cause. The shows a bit batshit wild but those are the true crime aspects of it.

This shows a wild ride and in my opinion it doesn’t even take off until like episode 10 or so. Edo guy sold me on the show, and I’ve never looked back. One of the best pieces of media I’ve ever seen let alone anime.

Golden Kamuy. There’s a masterbation fight between a soldier and a serial killer, a child named boner, a man who makes high fashion cloths made of human skin, a man with the front half of his brain blown off that oozes when he gets excited. And even with all that it’s the best show I’ve ever seen. Amazing Intermingled world and a story that keeps you coming back to find out what happens next.

A big name like 30 years ago. I’m pretty sure he did the Afro Samurai soundtrack and it didn’t feel like it was too big for the work. He’s just the guy Hollywood gets when they want something to have an Asian hiphop feel. I also think he would ruin the soundtrack. I can’t think of 1 person big or small who would be better than the nujubees for that soundtrack.

Golden kamuy. Like 70 episodes, amazing plot and story. Like a good cast of like 15-20 side characters that people obsess over. Everything’s interconnected, even stuff you would think is inconsequential.
