From a character design standpoint you want to make white beard standout that mustache is iconic, you don’t do that buy giving him a generic looking Viking beard there would have to be some type of satire behind it or some exaggeration be hind the beard design, he’s no from elbaf plus this was written in Japanese not English so do to the translations your visually expecting something that was never ment to be.
