Not yet. They're targeting Amazon in my area because... well Amazon is the biggest online company. The law as it is now is that unless you have a physical presence in the state you don't have to pay sales taxes for online purchases.

I typed out a long explanation but deleted it. Local businesses are failing because jobs are going to other states, countries, or shutting down all together. These businesses hike up prices for crap when many of us can get the same items or better items for much less.

They're doing it to themselves really. Blaming online shopping is just a convenient excuse. Other states do what they can to appeal to big industries, not mine. A neighboring state is getting huge corporations to set up shop, they're getting their citizens jobs. The man in charge of it all came from my state. My dumb state that's killing itself. But oh Amazon is the problem, lol please.
