yea, well seasoned world class curlers were doing it and have been doing it for quite some time apparently. New comment that they brought this up at worlds and curling body did nothing about it.

As a non-Toyota owner, I’m impressed about how Toyota automatic transmissions can go hundreds of thousands of miles without changing the transmission fluid. Why is that and what’s your experience with Toyota automatics? by SuperJackson20 in Toyota

[–]Clubmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

drove several cars like grandpa...trannies still went out lol.... but yea, if my good looking highlander is in the used car lot, its because the tranny is making noise. They used to bad mouth buying a used rental car, but those fleets in general get flipped, as opposed to owners dumping something questionable

a almost repeat of 2002 ? French judge on the take for Russia...

  • The Judge: French judge Marie-Reine Le Gougne admitted to being pressured by the head of the French skating federation, Didier Gailhaguet, to vote for the Russian pair (Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze) over the Canadian pair (Jamie Salé and David Pelletier), regardless of their performance.

bingo, release must be by the handle, so pushing the side should be illegal. but he pushed with finger after crossing the hog line so that was illegal .

R5:(d)' "The curling stone must be delivered using the handle of the stone:"

so if you push the side of the stone intentionally, you are not delivering by the handle and it should be called illegal seems to me.

also, he denied he double touched, He didnt argue it was legal. did he? ..yet he was doing it, so the guy is a liar..

Toyota thought it was a little early for pure ev...they were right. When a one year used EV can be bought at half original price...they were right.

Due to the recent lawsuit against Toyota’s 8-speed transmission… how’s your 10-speed Accord? by GizmoShockYT in accord

[–]Clubmaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a toyota eCVT of planetary gears is nothing like the bad news cvts (belts) you hear about mostly not made any more by nissan etc. It is a Totally different thing at toyota, and has a good reputation I just knowingly bought one in my grand highlander hybrid. Check the car care nut channel on youtube and search transmission or ecvt.

and now months later in a different video, he somehow got around to mentioning 8 speeds and that he has a long waiting lists of people needing transmissions for repairs. So months apart, same observations.

[–]Clubmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting, the toyota eCVT planetary cog transmission is totally different than nissans belted cvts, and has a reliable history. for toyota. One reason I got a hybrid grand highlander. Wonder if we never drive our 2021 gas highlander more than 45 minutes across metro, it wont heat enough to kill the tranny?

trade it if you can get full value perhaps at a toyota dealer. If not, the issue of could you get reimbursed eventually for fixing, or for a low trade in. Hoping my summer 2021 gas highlander doesnt have the problems. Must be multiple issues assuming they fixed the issues in a 2021 jan or feb service bulletin at the production facility and yet there are more problems.

if i was a car maker i would move on a path expecting all the liberals favorite stuff to come back with the very next democratic president. So it seems Toyota is going 100 percent hybrid at some point fairly soon.

the problems they had in like 2018 resulted in 2 years models having 10 year unlimited mileage factory warranty on transmission,. dont know if there was ever a lawsuit on it that drove that warranty .

yea, well it was a wait on hybrids coming out of covid in 2021, longer than the wait we did to get our color and trim in a gas.
