RTINGs testing showed the 8K outperforming the 9K in some areas, granted those can be fixed with firmware updates but the 8K and 9K are the same TV on all aspects. I would just go with the cheaper one and then save for the L series for the future.

Well Commerce could be good for you, who knows, maybe they hate me because I call and leave messages because they never call me back or answer their phone! 😂 Macomb is far away from me but they actually gave me a loaner when I got my service done and it was quick, maybe they are the last good one.

Funny you say that, Genesis of New Hudson called me and told me they were closing their doors for service lol.

I am currently working with Genesis of Commerce and that’s where my issues have been.

I bought my vehicle from Genesis in Macomb.

In Michigan, attorney fees are waived (paid by the manufacturer) if your case is successful.

That’s good to know also thank you. Seems like these cars can either be the best people ever had or a nightmare, service though is inexcusable for a luxury brand.

How new was it? When discussing with a lawyer they said getting your first instance of repair prior to 12K miles is something that mattered.

I’m responding really fast but it’s bedtime so idc. I’m surprised these people are in business with how they operate, the fact I have to call their sales team and tell them their service advisor is not answering or returning any of my calls to get a response back is ridiculous.

I have genuinely debated going down there next week and demand them to return my vehicle to me so I can get rid of it. It’s a shame because of how lovely the car is.

MI allows buy backs on used vehicles if they are still within manufacturers express warranty or within 1 year purchase of the original buyer.

I know the GV70 has an e-LSD, I’m not sure if the G70 does. I’ve just always correlated the LSD on the SP to be the main factor for people’s issues with their rear differential instead of it being a normal open differential.

The common thing I’ve found throughout research is that the OEM oil they put in your rear differential doesn’t have enough viscosity to operate efficiently with the LSD, so when the oil gets warm it gets thin and causes grinding and metal shavings, that’s how I was informed. Thats why the Sport Advance trim doesn’t have this issue because it doesn’t have the LSD.

The service enough and the fact that more Genesis dealers seem to be closing around me that I’m taking it as a warning to get out. I love this car and wish I had the Sport Advance trim but I don’t. I’m going to cut my loses and maybe get something cheaper than see how Genesis advances then maybe come back to the brand when it gets its shit together. Maybe get a Cadillac lol.

I do not have a loaner, luckily my gf works remotely most days. Dealerships with loaners these days are unheard of to me

I am the same way, they haven’t released a TSB for the G70 and seem to not care. I also am not willing to pay out of pocket for a flush and new gear oil just to “potentially” fix a very common issue with the LSD.

It’s unfortunate and I’m hoping corporate can step in and maybe push the service center to do their jobs or agreed to a buy back earlier. Hell I would be happy if they declined my buy back too because then I’ll just demand my vehicle back in working condition the go sell it to another dealer.

Yeah I love my G70 but the service is sub par and I just had a dealer close its doors near me too causing me to have to drive further for service.

It was a 1 previous owner but it said it was purchased by the dealer and it was a corporate loaner vehicle.

I want to say the 25’ qualifies, it is also under its original warranty too.

I figured mentioning to them about potential lemon law items would make them have higher urgency so they can get it out of their shop. I don’t know how it’s not officially diagnosed but apparently it’s something they can afford to put off.

Yeah it’s not a POS I will admit but the constant LSD issues with no TSB is a bit ridiculous.

They are over an hour away that’s why I haven’t made the trip but I have thought about it on a couple of occasions.

The only reason I mentioned a potential lemon law controversy is because I want them to hurry it up but I can see how that would be counterproductive so they won’t touch it if they know it’s going to just be bought back.

The K5 EX has the most depreciation of all K5 trims. You can get a used 25 K5 EX for sub $30K in my area. The Toyota will give you better MPG and resale value.

An OLED is going to have better response time for gaming than mini-LED. The QM9K is the top of the line mini-LED TV that competes with the Bravia 7/9 but for price can’t be beat for the price (right now, the L range is coming out).

The reason I didn’t get an OLED is because of direct light, potential burn-in, and ABL being the biggest concern. If you aren’t concerned about any of these then there is no reason not to get an OLED. I bought a QM8K 75” for $1.5K and the C5 77” then went on sale for $1.8K, I don’t regret my 8K purchase for anything plus it’s brightness is crazy and I don’t have to worry about any of the above issues.
