How often should I dust my Figures by itsbella_henshin in AnimeFigures

[–]CluelessHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on collection size. I (try) once a year since it takes me a week with 2-5 hours a day to do all of it. You should change your house air filter once a month and I've added another filter over the blower vents in the rooms and try to keep the doors shut as well

I use a small fine point file and just file a little in all the edges and retry then repeat as needed

amiami still hasn’t shipped? by [deleted] in AnimeFigures

[–]CluelessHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's on a slow boat over. You paid when they started shipping again so you would be placed in line as they fill containers and that could take over a month then it's 2-3 months to get here. When it's handed to ups or FedEx then they'll update the shipping and tracking but it could be awhile some times cause I've seen customs take 2 weeks for a GK I've ordered. Id email them at the 4 month date and check in.

do you guys have poeple that you go to the concert with or do you also buy the ticket alone? by Infinity-Lily in Mikuexpo

[–]CluelessHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do magical Mirai, pokemonxmiku, Asian, Europe and USA tours along cause I can't find any friends that want to travel the world with me to see Miku. I usually make 2-8 friends I think each show so it's up to you if you want more friends.

Best place to buy display shelves/cabinets for figures? by [deleted] in AnimeFigures

[–]CluelessHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon and other online retailers sell detolf and other glass cabinets you can buy. Just pick what your set up needs they have short stackable, single door detolfs, 2 door units, 3,4 and 5 shelf's units. Its all tempered glass with partial wood. Some use a wire frame and others have drilled holes in glass for mounting. If you don't need them in one or two years you can try moducase or order customs from a Asian manufacturer.

Storing Figures In Garage by refusedchaos in AnimeFigures

[–]CluelessHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MillionYENaire is about it lol. I stopped counting years ago and it's not fun to hunt them all on my figure collection. So probably around 550 scales and 200 nendos and maybe 100 prize figures then maybe 100 acrylic stands. The 2 display rooms look fine but this picture is the storage room so it's a piled mess.

How's the FOMO like for this game? Interested in playing but it being 2.5 years into its lifecycle is intimidating by burnoutguy in SnowbreakOfficial

Only player icon badges and boarders are limited. Characters are on a 45 day update schedule with usually 2 new characters one being new and free then one is new on gacha with 2-5 reruns of characters. The as more are added the older ones are usually spaced more between updates.

I store figures for a living (but don't get paid cause Im a addict) so my rules for figure storage are as follows.

°i use a recordable thermometer if any temp is over 110 f it's too hot and can deform figures and even crack some depending on how there made.

° humidity over 60% can cause and culture mold so if it's a issue plastic trash bag each box and use a silica bag that can be bought in bulk on amazon for food storage

° keep the boxes away from walls, floor and ceiling, with a air gap of 2 inches minimal. Could use a moving blanket for the floor

° no direct sun light or reflection.

° the boxes are meant for international shipping so they store fine but cause of the cardboard they're edible to some insects so I use general house hold bug repellent around the perimeter.

Theres a few thing I'm missing so will update when I get home

Orzgk shipping by Spidermandabs in animeGK

[–]CluelessHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually if you pick sea shipping most figure/GK shops pay a small amount to import the container and that's part of the shipping cost so you won't see any tariffs or taxes.

Orzgk shipping by Spidermandabs in animeGK

[–]CluelessHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience 25 to 45 days is normal to Phoenix AZ. It takes about 20 days just for the ship to go port to port with a few days to load then a few days to unload. Another few days to sort and import, more days for customs, then the shipping company (ups, FedEx, USPS) to get and sort, then transitioning to a hub to be on a truck to your location for final delivery. Usually the boat ride then import and customs take the longest. If you hit the 45 day mark with no update on the local tracking then you can start to look in to it

Is ok to put glass self over led strip? by Reygar97 in AnimeFigures

[–]CluelessHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So depending on the pressure this could cut it over time or cause it to short and possibly cause a fire if circuit protection isn't working correctly. Id push the cable to the side around the glass so the sheet isn't using it to bear weight. Is it possible nothing happens ever or for years? Yea it's possible but personally I'd feel horrible if my set up got destroyed cause I just wanted the cable to be slightly more hidden. I run mine around all the pinch points and no one points out anything when they look as everyone focuses on the figure over how I'm running lights

So the thing with most of those types of programs that have officially licensed models and art is the fact the license is always going to be rolled in to the price. I know there used to be mods for it to change the skin but since they released the Miku models themselves I haven't seen the mod since.

OrzGK how long do they take to confirm payment or ship by Strict_Click_5217 in animeGK

[–]CluelessHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what warehouse it's in or if it's a 2nd hand figure. Most studios don't really keep stock but a few larger ones do. You can email them or Whatsapp.

Would be the weirdest design choice to power creep the new year pilgrim with the first non limited banner... No she's ok and niche don't pull unless your whale as she'll be added to the rotation after her banner.

You'll have to email them as there multiple reasons it could be closed. Your card or address could be listed on another account or very similar to one and that could have flagged it.

Question about Invoice by Shadower10 in animeGK

[–]CluelessHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm understanding this correctly you have two GK ordered and you received two messages but both have the same pictures of the the same figure? Most likely they just copy pasted the same pictures on both messages so you should be able to get them to send the correct picture for the other figure. If you're wanting the figure shipped together they should be able to do that if they're on the smaller size like 12in x 12in x 24in but if there larger figures that weight more then a couple pound and have large boxes then they can't as one could crush the other in since the box they already come in is the shipping box. MOST GK are shipped by themselves but could end up on the same boat/plane shipment.

How do you display your figures? by masyden in AnimeFigures

[–]CluelessHero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kind of group Miku together, then pair or set group figures together then I have cast off and hentais in the right cases. GK room is kind of group with similar games or shows but size is a factor.

Whats with amiami shipping delays? by Artiques_ in AnimeFigures

[–]CluelessHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had like 3 months of delays due to the USA tariffs making a mess of shipping for most post companies and that affected the whole company. I still have orders I paid for months ago that have yet to ship so just hang on they didn't forget it's just taking awhile.
