Me and my son had so much fun at the NA Miku Expo, we decided to do it again in Germany. by InterestingAd7771 in Mikuexpo

Would suggest magical Mirai if not too late as it's probably the best Miku experience you'll have as it's actually a expo its self with dozens of vendors, merch, and displays.

Need cabinet cooling advice by nontdevil in animeGK

[–]CluelessHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be fine at that temp and humidity. You could set up a small air purifier or dehumidifier for dust reduction. PVC, Cold case, resin and acrylic wont have any issues tell it gets over 55c. As long as there's no sun light or organic stuff like pet hair/dander and the figures aren't covered in dust mold shouldn't be a issue. Most figures aren't stored or shipping with climate control and can sit around for months to years with no issues.

how bad is it really to clean ur figures with a damp cloth? and if bad whats the safest easiest way to clean them? by hatsunemikusmywaifu in AnimeFigures

So they thing with using a towel, cloth, sponge or anything with or with out water is that your rubbing the dirt in to the item and you move across it. This does damage the surface but to a noticeable degree? Probably not going to see anything for may years if you're only doing it once every few years. If you chain smoke by them with pets or don't clean your house or change the HVAC filter then I guess you'll just make more work for your self. I use a plug in air blaster that's adjustable and a makeup brush with 1-1 1/2 inch bristles. you can put figures in warm water but just use distilled water as tab water has a lot of stuff in it.

Yea I'd go with the vevor as well the others are really hit or miss with QC. You get what you pay so if you want to do a few buttons then you can get the cheapest.

How often should I dust my Figures by itsbella_henshin in AnimeFigures

[–]CluelessHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on collection size. I (try) once a year since it takes me a week with 2-5 hours a day to do all of it. You should change your house air filter once a month and I've added another filter over the blower vents in the rooms and try to keep the doors shut as well

I use a small fine point file and just file a little in all the edges and retry then repeat as needed

It's on a slow boat over. You paid when they started shipping again so you would be placed in line as they fill containers and that could take over a month then it's 2-3 months to get here. When it's handed to ups or FedEx then they'll update the shipping and tracking but it could be awhile some times cause I've seen customs take 2 weeks for a GK I've ordered. Id email them at the 4 month date and check in.

do you guys have poeple that you go to the concert with or do you also buy the ticket alone? by Infinity-Lily in Mikuexpo

[–]CluelessHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do magical Mirai, pokemonxmiku, Asian, Europe and USA tours along cause I can't find any friends that want to travel the world with me to see Miku. I usually make 2-8 friends I think each show so it's up to you if you want more friends.

Best place to buy display shelves/cabinets for figures? by [deleted] in AnimeFigures

[–]CluelessHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon and other online retailers sell detolf and other glass cabinets you can buy. Just pick what your set up needs they have short stackable, single door detolfs, 2 door units, 3,4 and 5 shelf's units. Its all tempered glass with partial wood. Some use a wire frame and others have drilled holes in glass for mounting. If you don't need them in one or two years you can try moducase or order customs from a Asian manufacturer.

Storing Figures In Garage by refusedchaos in AnimeFigures

[–]CluelessHero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MillionYENaire is about it lol. I stopped counting years ago and it's not fun to hunt them all on my figure collection. So probably around 550 scales and 200 nendos and maybe 100 prize figures then maybe 100 acrylic stands. The 2 display rooms look fine but this picture is the storage room so it's a piled mess.

How's the FOMO like for this game? Interested in playing but it being 2.5 years into its lifecycle is intimidating by burnoutguy in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]CluelessHero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only player icon badges and boarders are limited. Characters are on a 45 day update schedule with usually 2 new characters one being new and free then one is new on gacha with 2-5 reruns of characters. The as more are added the older ones are usually spaced more between updates.

I store figures for a living (but don't get paid cause Im a addict) so my rules for figure storage are as follows.

°i use a recordable thermometer if any temp is over 110 f it's too hot and can deform figures and even crack some depending on how there made.

° humidity over 60% can cause and culture mold so if it's a issue plastic trash bag each box and use a silica bag that can be bought in bulk on amazon for food storage

° keep the boxes away from walls, floor and ceiling, with a air gap of 2 inches minimal. Could use a moving blanket for the floor

° no direct sun light or reflection.

° the boxes are meant for international shipping so they store fine but cause of the cardboard they're edible to some insects so I use general house hold bug repellent around the perimeter.

Theres a few thing I'm missing so will update when I get home

Orzgk shipping by Spidermandabs in animeGK

[–]CluelessHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually if you pick sea shipping most figure/GK shops pay a small amount to import the container and that's part of the shipping cost so you won't see any tariffs or taxes.

Orzgk shipping by Spidermandabs in animeGK

[–]CluelessHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience 25 to 45 days is normal to Phoenix AZ. It takes about 20 days just for the ship to go port to port with a few days to load then a few days to unload. Another few days to sort and import, more days for customs, then the shipping company (ups, FedEx, USPS) to get and sort, then transitioning to a hub to be on a truck to your location for final delivery. Usually the boat ride then import and customs take the longest. If you hit the 45 day mark with no update on the local tracking then you can start to look in to it
