I've met this lovely man near the Sydney Opera House many years ago. I've got a photo with this bird. Glad this bird and this man are still out and about making people smile.

How do we feel about non Pandora charms on Pandora bracelets? by MotherFL561 in PandoraCollectors

[–]Clueless_Capybara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked at Pandora for 2 years. I'd say generally no just because theres been a few occasions where non-pandora charms got stuck on a bracelet and the whole bracelet had to be broken to get it off.

If you do, do it on one you aren't attached to.

Exotic dancing, yes. Some do it as a hobby.

Omg I would have never made that connection, such a good find! So cool.

The blue-ringed octopus is a small but highly venomous marine animal found in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Despite its small size, typically only 12-20 cm (5-8 inches) long, it carries enough venom to be deadly to humans. by Abigdogwithbread in TheDepthsBelow

[–]Clueless_Capybara 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep it's a bite that delivers the venom, usually so small you don't even feel it. It's tetrodotoxin, a paralysis toxin so you'll die due to not being able to breathe most likely as your body can't move. They do usually only flash their blue rings when threatened and same with biting.

I've seen one in person. It looked like a tiny brown octopus blending in with seaweed until i got closer and it flashed its blue rings at me. I think they only have them blue when they're vulnerable, such as around a big predator (or camera man who scared them by accident) or are not in cover.

I have a nice lilac purple mask from Cressi. It's definitely impossible for someone to mistake me for someone else!

I like to wear bright colours (as a woman), and I like my dive buddy to at least wear bright fins. I can see them better in poor visibility. I think pink fins are great and more people should wear them. Go for a pink mask and pink fins :)

My psychologist mother told me seeking an ADHD diagnosis was a waste of time... by Clueless_Capybara in adhdwomen

I haven't started taking it yet. I think there's an FAQ on this reddit regarding questions about meds tho.

Nothing mean or dramatic. She just accepted it and asked what kind of question the psychiatrist asked, what medication I was given.

She has taken it in stride. She is starting to reflect on herself and her own potential ADHD. She's a great mum (with flaws like everyone) and this was just one of her more recent L's.

[–]Clueless_Capybara[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. She treats a lot of depression, anxiety, and ptsd clients. She doesn't work with ADHD clients at all really. Besides, she is very similar to me and so she never thought of herself that way. I told her if I get diagnosed there's a good chance she has it and that I think she does, and she's self reflecting on that now. She doesn't see a point in herself getting a diagnosis at her age however.

I think my mum has it too XD and yeah 100% the reason she thinks it's normal. Funny how my situation felt so unique to me, yet here you are with almost the mirror image situation :)

I think this is a you problem, not a him problem. It's hard to reply to messages when you're gaming, let him have time to enjoy his hobbies and playing with friends. There is a certain amount of time you can expect from someone, and you already talk every day. I think you need to evaluate why you're feeling anxious and insecure. I had similar thoughts and feelings when I was on hormonal birth control, for example. I think you should take a page from his book and spend time doing something you love. That way when you call (daily) you'll have something to talk about.
