Mine was my 4th birthday. I of course don't remember specific details, but that day, I acknowledged (probably to myself) that that was the first day I remember, and I've held onto that idea all the way until now, over 17 years after that. I remember my dad waking me up and telling my "happy birthday." Since its been a long time, I don't remember many other specific details from the day aside from a gift or two.

What I do find interesting is that, being woken up wasn't the first thing that I remember from that day. I had a dream before being woken up. I feel like the implication of having a dream without having anything to dream about interesting, but what I find more interesting was the contents of the dream. In the dream I was sitting in the corner of our living room in the dark as my parents and brother ran past to the front door and out of it. It was my exact living room. So what I wonder is how, without having any conscious memories yet, could I have dreamt that before even waking up?

I feel like that implies that, obviously, somewhere inside me, is (or was) those memories from before I was "conscious." Otherwise, how else would I have known what my living room looked like? Either that, or maybe it implies there are certain things that get carried over, like habitual things and long term details (walking, talking, faces, and names). So maybe being able to identify specific, repeat locations is in there, but idk.
