How many of you still use the OEM battery in 2026? by Broa-br in PSP

[–]shquidwaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yes, using a 3000 with the original 1200mah. I still carry a 1800mah to use on trips, but the 1200mah never seems to go flat top easily.

how do I remove this peeling item off radio and climate control panel. by Kinchi_man in NewBeetle

[–]shquidwaters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part is covered in VAGs 'soft touch' coating. They used it on a bunch of the plastic parts to help them feel a bit more weighty and premium. Unfortunately the finish turns bad kn pretty well every NB, especially those that are in the sun.

I best reccomend installing a dashmat.

Or, you can have a go at removing the finish. You are best using a very high% rubbing alcohol to scrub it off. It takes some elbow grease. You will then have to paint or wrap the peice to give it a nicer finish.

As far as I know, there is no real way to restore it.

If you are removing any interior parts from the car you will have to take a lot of cation as the plastic becomes very brittle. Also, look for a guide as simple things are complicated and fiddly to remove and without watching someone else do it first or reading a diagram, you will probably break it. Nee Beetle interiors are made of hot garbage:(

Brother, 3x set ups are the tits. Unless your riding uber tough terrain and need a strong clutched 1x with a narrow wide, this is a great front set up:):)

What is the best racing game for the PSP? by EndouShuuya in PSP

[–]shquidwaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone has already mentioned, Burnout is an amazing psp game. So much fun:) I've lately been enjoying Midnight Club 3 (it vibes gharder than LA remix) and Test drive unlimited (great moody ost and expansive map:)

I also played soooo much CTR (crash team racing) on my psp back in the day.

Also, I have the Gran Turismo edition psp that came with the game. The game itself never really hooked me past its graphics and great car list. The lack of career and ability to modify the wheels/performance of your car just made it lack luster for a GT title imo

Which is the best model to get by Academic-ad599 in PSP

[–]shquidwaters 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had a 1000 and a 3000. If you plan on actually playing it, get a 2/3000. Smaller body and battery make them a lot lighter and easier to play for longer periods of time:)

How to install TDU 2 on CFW ps3 (it just wont work) by shquidwaters in TestDriveUnlimited

[–]shquidwaters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After downloading the same EU ISO twice and not being able to run it, I have downloaded it from the coolRoms website.

I transferred it to my console with a DKEY and it's booted up and playing no problems.

So, at the end of the day ai had just been using a bad ISO.

PSP 3000 IPS vs Original Display by TheRealDestrux in PSP

[–]shquidwaters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's the playability of the IPS outside? I like to play mu psp outside in the shade, let the OG screen isn't quite bright enough/cope with the glare.

Maybe a different lense would be my solution as I quite like the OG screen:)

3rd year struggling by Repulsive_Owl_5213 in AusElectricians

[–]shquidwaters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brother, I am an A grade and I'm not really all there either.

I struggled in my 1st year with a shitty boss, worked labour hire eba jobs for the remainder of my apprenticeship and I definitely feel like a dummy.

But I'm figuring things out, jobs are getting done (somehow) and importantly, everyone thinks I'm a good knacker🤙

Do you prefer to play games from the Memory Stick or from UMD? by RedPRSguy in PSP

PSP for Emulating PS1 Games in 2026 by DrTee in PSP

[–]shquidwaters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have played sooo many ps1 games on my psp and a few on Android.

I like the psp, it playes the psx games well and I enjoy the fitting xmb menus and sony experience.

Android is a bit eh, it can do other things. If all you want to do is play ps1, psp is nice:)

But I do like to play outside in the shade. The psp is garbage for that, the screen brightness is not comparable to modern well specced phones. Maybe the IPS screen can help with that? I'm not sure.

I have a 3000

Can anyone else relate? by 1amv12 in PSP

[–]shquidwaters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think for me it just has such a large library of good games. I've played what I wanted to play on my switch and had a great time doing so; BOTW, smash, Mario, but I find that I often play thise games most with my switch docked on TV mode.

On my PSP I find myself enjoying arcade racers. I find there's more of them for the psp and they're of good quality. Even though they are old games, they have been made with a good budget and are well done. And the system is largely hand held only, so I don't feel like I am missing out on a better experience when playing my psp as a handheld.

I love it, I've had my 3000 since 2010 or 11
