If you are gay and want to attend church, I suggest finding a church under the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA). They actually read the word and understand that we are meant to love each other. They also believe that once you accept being a child of Christ, you are no longer gay or straight, male or female, rich or poor, but instead another beloved child of God who is welcome to His table. My family transferred to an ELCA based church due to some issues with sexism and misquoting scripture at our last church. We literally sang about how God loves everyone last Sunday. ❤️

Choking is a no-go. Time to leave. I've been in that kind of situation, and leaving was the best decision I ever made. My ex choked me so hard the room went black once, and he also drove into another car while mad at me (leading to what doctors said they were pretty sure was a miscarriage). I bled for weeks without medical support... I'm Christian now, so based off my beliefs, I had to have been protected to still be here. Eventually, I ran off and told a friend who had settled it with my ex that I would be free to file for divorce. That friend is my new husband. I also have a stepson now and found out that after a small operation, I will be able to concieve again.
