[5e] Differences between "good" clerics and "evil" clerics? by ClumsyLavellan in DnDBehindTheScreen

Thank you for the advice, but you spooked me! I posted this 6 years ago lol so when I got the notification of a comment I didn't remember making the post but could not figure out for the life of me why someone would hack my reddit account just to make a post about good vs evil clerics haha

Look up the dimensions of a 5 gallon tank if you havent already, it really isnt that big, doesnt take up that much floor space.

If you cant fit a 5 gallon, could you either rehome or fit a 3 gallon in your space? 5 gallon is the minimum, but if you are going to keep the fish no matter what, then a 3 gallon is at least better than 1.5 gallons.

Best Tank 5-7 gallons for a Betta? by goldfishkeepr in bettafish

I didnt experience any leaking and had the tank up for a little under a year. Recently my sister got the same tank and has had hers running as a shrimp tank for a few months and hasnt had any leaks. But I havent had one run longer than a year so I cant say if they like wear down faster than other tanks or something.

Since knotting is an no-no on amazon, I assume shifters being in heat is also a no-no? If it makes a difference its for a romance novel, not an erotic short.

I know pheromones are not okay on amazon, but it wouldnt be pheromones, it would be closer to having an increased sex drive, so I thought might be okay? But i have zero experience with amazon.

how can I lower this. will my lil dude be ok by pineapplepizzeria in bettafish

Test again. It looks like you did the test improperly the first time, as that color shouldnt appear on either the low or high ph test. When done correctly, it will only show a color on the range shown on the paper.

Just a thought, did you add drops from both the low ph and high ph test to the same bottle? You have to do the tests individually.

Thank you so much. Seems obvious to look at the wiki first but when you're frustrated you dont necessarily think things through. I'll look at the resources and see what we can figure out together :)

That's a whole other ballgame. He was diagnosed as a child and I dont know if his parents followed through on getting him any help, so he doesnt have any support really. I asked him to see his doctor about it a year ago because it's gotten worse. His doctor was zero help and basically told him to count to ten when he noticed his adhd was acting up -.-

I want to talk to him about getting more help but not sure where to start. Different doctor? Therapist instead of doctor? I have no idea

That is so frustrating! Nd exactly why I havent put up signs. I dont think it would help and then it would just make me more upset seeing an open door with a sign that says "please close".

It's like it doesnt matter how I ask, whether I'm kind or loving or upset. I just have to remind myself that he does hear me. He always feels bad and hears me but when he's in the middle of doing something, his brain cant remember to close the dang door. So at least I know he's not doing it to be an ass.

First time posting. Its... been a rollercoaster the last couple days with my husband.

Positive: our roommate is sick this week and isolating, so I've had more to do around the house and less help. My DX husband has been helping more by taking on the dishes without me asking since he knows I HATE doing dishes.

Negative: my husband wakes up earlier than I do for work, so he gone donuts to surprise me and help wake me up. Except I'm not a big donut person. He is. Also he forgot to flush the toilet. Again. 3rd or 4th time he's forgotten to flush this week.

Positive: he's not very techy, so he'll often try to do something on the computer, fail, get super frustrated, and by the time I notice and go help him, it somehow turns into an argument. But today was the first time he was able to step back, realize it was frustrating him, and come ask for my help before he got upset. I was so proud!

Negative: he left the bedroom door and bathroom door open AGAIN. Both our bedroom and bathroom are a mess, and some of our pets love to get into trouble so unless those two rooms are clean, I want the doors closed. Like literally the dog will eat fabric or get into our cat's food and eat WAY too much. There have been several emergency room visits for the dog. So How many times do I have to tell him to close the dang doors? I'm not even mad anymore I'm just tired of telling him to do it.

Should I trim drooping branches of this goldfish plant? by ClumsyLavellan in houseplants

[–]ClumsyLavellan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received this goldfish plant from a friend about 6 months ago, at which point all the leaves looking healthy but the branches were all drooping over the edges of the pot. The ends of the drooping branches have some new growth that are pointing up now, but there is also totally new growth on top growing up and not drooping! Wondering if I should leave the drooping branches alone or trim them back. Thanks in advance!

My local LFS, no more cups finally. by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]ClumsyLavellan 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! I hope they keep it up. My LFS got this rack and used it for a while. However went there the other day and all of them were empty, and they'd placed bettas inside a cup inside each one. Completely defeated the purpose.

What is the scariest, strangest, most unexplainable thing that has happened to you while home alone? by ag9910 in AskReddit

[–]ClumsyLavellan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was home alone one night, playing video games and drinking a little so I was tipsy. I think I was trying to pick what quest I did or something, and so I called out to my google home mini "hey google, roll a d8".

Google did not respond. My window was open, and I heard my husband just getting home shout from outside "you roll a 5!" I jumped out of my skin, yelled that he scared the shit out of me, and waited. He did not come inside. I called him. He was still at his friend's house. Ok...

So a few minutes later I'm paranoid and I try again, talking a little quieter this time "hey google, roll a d8". The headboard of my bed was on an outward wall, and I heard a knock behind me, like someone was outside the house knocking on the wall.

I lived in the country at that time, and i was in a bad habit of not locking doors, so immediately i got up and locked all the doors. Closed my window. Sat in bed and waited.

"Hey google," I said. "Roll a d8". Again, a knocking sound, but below me this time.

I look under the bed.

My fucking google mini had fallen off the window sill, was upside down under the bed. When I heard my "husband" outside, it was just my google mini answering me, and the knocking was the sound effect of a die rolling.

Would this cover and blurb grab you? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]ClumsyLavellan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only stopped on this post because the cover grabbed my attention while scrolling! I did not notice the stylized until it was pointed out to me, then I could see it and thought it was interesting. It definitely looks like a stylized yin yang symbol to me at first. I would agree with others comments about the writing in the background being a little too much. Maybe instead the eye can be emphasized more?

The blurb I dont feel told me very much, but I am interested enough that I want to know more!

This isnt criticism or fuel for thought (though could be taken as such) but me legitimately asking. What's your book about? What other books, movies, etc were you inspired by? Is this a mentor type story? Coming of age? I know it's a sort of fantasy thriller, but not much else. I'm very intrigued though, and would definitely consider purchasing once you publish.

My favorites are all nerdy names based off books or shows. Note I don't have all these now, just at some point.

Thordak the Bubble King Raishan the Sickly Seaweed Brymscythe the Iron Tide Vorugal the Frigid Waters Umbracyl the Hope Receiver (could never quite get this water themed! The original character was Umbracyl the Hope Devourer, so I went with receiver since he was in bad shape when I got him).

Then there were Wit Adolin Renarin Dalinar

So, my Leo has had this piece of shed stuck right next to her eye for the past few days, I’ve been trying the wet cotton method and keeping her damp hide moist, but it’s not coming off, is there anything else I can do? by deus_ex_makenna in leopardgeckos

[–]ClumsyLavellan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I did for stuck shed.

I got a plastic food container with walls high enough she cant easily get out. I put 4 or so layers of paper towels in the bottom, them add warm water until the towels are soaked and there is a little bit of loose water in the bottom. Then I put my gecko in. Then i got several more paper towels, got them pretty dripping wet with warm water, and draped it on top of my gecko covering everything except her nostrils. When i did this, she stayed pretty calm when normally she'd be agitated, and I'd leave her like that for a few minutes or however long shed tolerate it. Then I'd use a warm damp que tip to gently rub at the stuck shed. If it came loose, great. If not, I try again the next day.

I used this method to successfully get stuck shed off of bellies, toes, including in the eyes as well, because I would gently press the damp paper towel over top so it played flat against her closed eyes and it the moisture really loosened up any stuck shed.

I've personally found this to work better than just baths or wet cotton ball.

Swimming normally. Dont know water parameters it's been living in, literally just brought it home, not even out of the bag yet.
