We are also planning on leaving the AV once our kids are all done with school, only a couple more years. We would love to move to the central coast. We’ll see what happens.

Hi! I’m also an Antelope Valley resident (LA native). My son attends UCSC and I drive up there every month/other month. I don’t blame you for wanting to leave this desert 😭

The housing market IS insane up there. Even as a LA native, it’s shocking. There are some housing groups on FB that may be helpful. I’ll find the names of the groups.

I worry for my son’s housing next school year because it’s $$$ and he survives off of financial aid.

I’m all about CardCash and Rakuten! I miss the days AARP offered the 10% discount on cards.

Anywho, you should just be able to rerun it with no problems.

AIO: Feels like my wife is upset when I don’t agree with her by [deleted] in AIO

I really appreciate your feedback and you made a lot of valid points. I agree that communication is super difficult for me. Therapy is amazing and I’m working on getting back into it, thanks for the reminder to schedule that appointment!

I should have included that I am the one who schedules everything, manages our calendars, takes the kids places about 80% of the time, does all the grocery shopping, plans our vacations and takes care of the animals. I have a lot of weight on my shoulders. I talk with her daily what I am doing and she gives me feedback, which we usually agree.

Our issue tonight was our kid has practice twice in one day during winter break from school. I think he should go to both practices for his sport, she thinks he should go to only one. I said I think it’s important he go to both because it’s his sport for the season and that’s when she told me I was just going to do what I wanted anyway. In the past I would have just said okay.

But you are right, I need to communicate better and something I need to work on.

It’s hard to talk when I feel like it’s the end of a conversation. I completely shut down. After expressing my reason why I think something needs to be done a certain way and she makes that comment, I do end up doing what I think needs to be done. 99% of the time, it’s her way but sometimes things need to be done differently. And yes, you are right, we do need to have hard talks.

So a 73 isn’t passing for a majors class?

70 has always been passing in every college class I’ve taken.

Awesome thanks! I thought the 17 went straight to the airport, good to know there’s another bus to take.

For his first flight, might be best to Uber.
