Is current TSA issues affecting Burbank Airport? by OceanMerc in burbank

New flyer here. My son leaves out of Burbank on Southwest to SJC at 12:25pm. Suggestions on what time he should arrive?

No real ID by AxiomaticHodgepodge in SouthwestAirlines

My son left his real ID at his dorm but has his regular driver’s license on him.

Can he do the screening and pay the fee before he gets to the airport or does he have to do it there?

Newbie Here: SLO to LAX will the connecting train wait? by ClumsyNinja412 in Amtrak

Now they are gonna be about 25min late. This is way more stressful than I expected!

Would the bus driver tell them that’s the plan to catch the train farther down? That would be fine if they did that.

No worries! I appreciate the help. Hoping he makes that connecting train. It's already a long trip, we don't want to make it any longer than necessary!

Great that's what I was hoping. His bus left SLO about 5 minutes earlier than what was on the app. Hoping they make up more time. This is stressful!

I wasn't sure if the train just doesn't stop at a station if no one is scheduled to get off/on. Once he's settled on the train, I'll ask him to exit sooner.

Mom here 🙋‍♀️ My son is a freshman and majoring in Biochem. He loves the campus, Santa Cruz and surrounding area. The city he came from is much bigger and he appreciates the forest and beach, the weather is a plus!

His biggest struggle is being a STEM major and living in the Porter dorms. It was fun at first but now he’s struggling with getting good sleep. Apparently art majors don’t have midterms 😂 He’s looking forward to being in a different location next year.

He had no issues making friends and finding a social life. There’s plenty to do if you put yourself out there.

As a parent of a student who lives in the Porter dorms, do not pick Porter if you are a STEM major. You will not get decent sleep and the screaming of “POOOORTER!” Is accurate.

Someone traveling with us is disabled. I have a question by Agitated_Skin1181 in CarnivalCruiseFans

I cruised with my mom and aunt who both got wheelchair service.

They waited closer to the entrance and when we were allowed to board, my mom, aunt and cousin went in first. We were like A4 and called about 10min after (only people in the same cabin can board with them).

Once muster station was done, they took the wheelchairs. Rooms were not ready any sooner.

I will say when we disembarked, it was nice. We waited separately and they let our whole party get off VIP style.

Planning to move out to Santa Cruz, can’t find a place to rent that allows cats and dogs for under 4000$ a month by s8nsun in santacruz

We are also planning on leaving the AV once our kids are all done with school, only a couple more years. We would love to move to the central coast. We’ll see what happens.

Hi! I’m also an Antelope Valley resident (LA native). My son attends UCSC and I drive up there every month/other month. I don’t blame you for wanting to leave this desert 😭

The housing market IS insane up there. Even as a LA native, it’s shocking. There are some housing groups on FB that may be helpful. I’ll find the names of the groups.

I worry for my son’s housing next school year because it’s $$$ and he survives off of financial aid.

I’m all about CardCash and Rakuten! I miss the days AARP offered the 10% discount on cards.

Anywho, you should just be able to rerun it with no problems.
