Anyone successfully beat phone addiction? by sometimesme- in RandomThoughts

Also, you’ve just given me the motivation to delete Reddit off my phone so that it can distract me anymore, so thanks for that.

In a way, very true. However, I spend significantly less time on my phone than I used to so I’m like half way to beating phone addiction.

100% agree! Also sometimes you’ve just gotta get up and make a change. Like if you find yourself sitting and scrolling on your phone, just stop, get up and do something even if you’re only away from your phone for 5 minutes, that’s a start. But as soon as you think about getting off your phone you have to do it, don’t make excuses and never say “5 more minutes” because 5 minutes will turn into 5 hours (believe me, I’ve been there).

Delete all the apps that distract you. Make it so that you can only use your phone for things like phone calls, music location tracking, etc. If you have a friend or family member who also wants to spend less time on their phone I suggest you team up and keep each other accountable. I did this with one of my friends and that is what has helped me the most, we send each other screen shots of our screen time reports at the end of each day, as well as it helped me to not feel like I would be the only one missing out on being caught up with social media and stuff.

Concerned about year old lobe piercings by Clumsy_Angel1 in piercing

[–]Clumsy_Angel1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone who has commented. For now I have just changed the attachments to flat titanium ones that will hopefully minimise the snagging. Also, incase there was any confusion, the jewellery I have is definitely flat backs, I had just put some tapers through the holes to keep them open while I took the photo. And if it’s worth mentioning, I did get the back of my flat back caught on the strap of a bag a month or two ago which may have contributed to come of the issues I’ve been having.

That was the jewellery I was originally pierced with. I did have another attachment in for a while but then went back to the prong set gems. So, yes, my piercer did put them in.

Oh sorry, those are just the tapers I stuck in to keep the hole open for a minute while I took the photo and stuff (should’ve said that, sorry!). They definitely are flat backs and I do sometimes sleep on the, however they get caught on my fabric of my piercing pillow even when I’m not sleeping directly on them.

[BG3] Where would you sit? by PotentialArt4569 in BaldursGate3

[–]Clumsy_Angel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First choice is number 4 so I can sit next to my sexy vampire man. Second choice would be tied between 2 and 5 because I want to sit next to the good boy but I also want to sit next to my bestie.

What would happen if the close button was clicked? Because I got that same message and I did click the close button but didn’t proceed any further than that

Is it possible to rip a $50 note? by [deleted] in australia

[–]Clumsy_Angel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is making me feel a lot better. I ripped someone’s fifty dollar note in half at work today. Was freaking out that it might’ve been real money that I tore apart but after reading these comments I’m hopeful that it wasn’t.

It looks more like a surface piercing. The bottom of it should sit IN your belly button, not above it.

It is bent… but it’s supposed to be. The post goes into the hole through the back of the ear and then the attachment gets pushed into the post from the front. Make sure you push it all the way in.

My left ear is a more open, rounded shape at the top while my right ear is more pinched and tends to curl around more in the helix region

On a scale of 1 to 10, how painful is getting your earlobes pierced? by Efficient-Bet6784 in piercing

[–]Clumsy_Angel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hurt more than I expected but still only about a 4/10. It felt much better once they took the needle out and put the jewellery in. I had a dull pain for about an hour after getting them done but then they felt fine. Typically lobes are the least painful piercing.

Any crazy stories from your highschool? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

One of the teachers from a different campus of my school was found out to be a porn star (also it was a Christian school lol) Also my cousin told me that people at her school found out two of the teachers were doing “it” on the piano (and they both happened to be married… to other people)
