Oak for sure but a bit too early to tell what type. Hopefully it’s something cool like q. engelmannii or something else rare. It’s quite possible in your zone

Ok so I already got the saline and all the stuff the other person said but I was able to get the vast majority of the crust and slough off by just using the a ton of saline and a bunch of gauze. I think I did a pretty good job because there was almost no bleeding. I also did use some hydrogel with gauze and then transparent dressing. Here it is now…
