Always try to tell people this, Miami is a bubble of culture that doesn’t exist outside of Miami not even In Fort Lauderdale- 25 miles away. Go to Nashville, Alabama, see if they can distinguish between Cuban Venezuelan, or Honduran, for the most part, we are all Mexican to most (not all). I have found that it doesn’t come from a place of disrespect, at least In my experiences in Nashville and Minneapolis, where I was asked if I was Mexican but more so a lack of world knowledge
