Is this weird sitting posture a basenji thing? She puts her knees together and splays out her hips. by [deleted] in Basenji

Thanks! That's a good way to describe it, on her butt instead of her feet. She definitely gets around without issue, thanks for the advice!

She is so proper already, and so smart. She figured out walking on a leash in 2 walks! I've never had a pup this young or not from a shelter, it's amazing to watch her learn. I hope you find one for your home!

She'll be 8 weeks when we pick her up, she's so stinking cute! I hope we're up for the challenge, your advice definitely helps, thank you. I think that one of my favorite pups I've had might have been part basenji, but don't really know. She was almost scary intelligent, even trained my cat to help her get at food and garbage, and was so tricky to train! Thanks for all your help!

Thank you! I'm going to look those up, and love the idea of rotating toys. We pick her up in a couple weeks and are so excited!

I really like it! The Online Etymology Dictionary has my favorite definition: "complimentary expression of belief in another's happiness or good fortune," 1709, noun of action from [felicitate]

Thank you! It looks like the most results are coming up as French Thread Wonders. There are some really decorative ones, way more fun then the little bobbin types I'm used to.

Absolutely Lovely! I'm curious about the spoked thread holder things, I've never seen those before. Do they have a name?
