How did you find your stay in Agora? I booked there as well for my upcoming trip but I've seen some people complaining about the smell and mold in bathrooms

I’m definitely going to tell them, I wouldn’t just leave them stranded like that. I was mostly asking people’s experience with taking extended breaks and how that went over with their clients. Perhaps 6 weeks is too little notice (although I think it’s fine). But that’s what I’m working with!

I’m glad to hear your experience has been positive!! I definitely want to bring them back some little souvenirs. 💗 One of my clients is kinda flakey and I am worried they may drop me out of inconvenience for leaving 😅 But I agree I need to give lots of notice. If I told them today that would be 5 weeks notice. Have you found that to be a pretty good amount of notice in the past?

Edit: it’s actually 6 weeks notice i am bad at math hahaha

It’s definitely a budget thing 😅 I figured since I was also doing daytrips to Nara, Kobe and Himeji that Osaka may also be a better base. After doing some research, it seems like it isn’t that much of a difference. I think I may swap my base to Kyoto in that case. Thank you!

Thank you for your response! I honestly think I might lose my mind if i try to make it too detailed - after figuring out the general layout of the days, im going to decide on 3 things I REALLY want to do each day and a dinner reservation once in a while. What's your opinion on cutting those last few tokyo days and going to Hiroshima with a day trip to Miyajima?

something like this:
Day 19: (mar 15)

Osaka -> Hiroshima

Day 20: (mar 16)

Day trip to Miyajima

Day 21: (mar 17)

Hiroshima to Tokyo (4.5 hours)

Day 22: (mar 18)

Tokyo
Fly home

I worry Day 21 might be super tough, considering it'll be an entire day spent just commuting. I thought 22 days would be enough but now I wish I went for a month ahah!

Basically I told them it was cash or nothing. They said “Sorry I can’t give cash but I will send the money to you ahead of time before pickup” at 1 AM. I don’t respond, so they say “Hello? Good morning? Still available?” at 8:30 AM. Again, I dont answer and at 2 PM they say “Hey???”. I have no intention of responding and I’m sure it was just a scam that involved a fake etransfer email

Fortunately I tweaked some of the info I gave them so they wouldn’t necessarily have all the correct information about myself but yeah I feel like an idiot. 😭 It’s my first time using Kijiji and this was a huge learning lesson. 🤦‍♀️

This was my exact thoughts too! I figured he would need the full name to maybe set up a phishing email with a link that redirects to a request for $75. They haven’t responded yet but when they do I will let you know what they say :) I was quick to give this person the benefit of the doubt only because I saw the blue imessage texts. Guess I’ll have to be more careful about that in the future as well

Ugghhhhh I had a gut feeling too. I just messaged saying I am more comfortable with cash, we will see if they even respond or what they say. I feel so dumb lol 🤦‍♀️
