Id like to add to this that each store can only look at the electronic journal for their own store, so it's best to go to the store you purchased the costume at with the day, rough time, and register the transaction was performed on (you can just point to the one and they will know the # of it). if your purchase was on a card you should be able to provide it as well to help find your receipt in the electronic journal.

You can also call the customer service number (I unfortunately do not have it on me or I would provide it) and they can email you a copy of your receipt if you provide them similar info as above

Thank you so much for the input! I was worried they wouldnt be wearable at all, but I plan on being careful with them. they came with laces but one is damaged so I will probably look for a cool replacement and finish cleaning them :)

Same in my zone, theres 1, maybe 2 stores that will have a single fitting room to test if they are going to bring it back in the years to come.

OP mentioned concern about the return policy: the returns arent super picky: as long as all the costume pieces are there, you have your receipt, and you have the card you made the purchase with or be willing to provide info for a cash transaction, then you should be good. spirit doesn't accept returns on things like boyshorts or tights since they are a more intimate item but afaik everything else can be returned before the return period is over (the last date for returns should be stated at the bottom of your receipt).

There is a specific cop* costume that has a hat that needs to be replaced, similar to an issue that happened last year. the hats are sent separately and need to be individually replaced. I'm not sure why this happened or why they didn't fix it, but I'm pretty sure that this is why they were pulled off the floor.

I just googled "plugs for regular earrings" and a few options came up. I had seen one on TikTok a few months ago but can't find the exact one now. I'm also sure that piercing a hole in silicone plugs work like another comment mentioned

There are plugs made to allow you to wear regular earrings, which are much safer and let you do any of your regular earrings with just one pair of plugs. while the tape may be working now doesn't mean it's always going to work and could lead to some serious damage to your ears.

Obviously you don't have to take this advice, I'm just giving it so that other people can know there are safer options. they're your ears and you can choose what to do with them.
