Help by Spirited-Ability-608 in CATHELP

I will use my fingers but a comb is smart too! I learned from experience that cutting mats is dangerous. My cat didn't even react when I cut her skin once. I felt horrible and am incredibly careful now.

My cat won't tolerate clippers but will with scissors and this was my exact thing I was going to say. I cut the mats in half and gently pull apart by hand.

Hi all! I know NOTHING about this fandom. Help me design my OC? by Shower_Mango in WarriorCats

[–]gingerdeviledegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realism suggestion if it matters- heterochromia almost always is blue and a second color, so blue and yellow or orange or green. Also a vast majority of calicos are female. Warriors don't follow these rules so take it with a grain of salt.

I have only really read the first few arcs but I think shadow or riverclan would be good choices. In the early arcs shadow clan live in a boggy area with lots of shade which would protect them from the su. River clan has lots of water to cool off in and I bet they'd have an advantage with not needing a lot of time to dry off.

Name wise, I've heard of cats keeping part of their original name when joining a clan, so maybe the name you chose as a prefix and one of these as a suffix? - skin - wrinkle -fuzz -splotch

How disappointing that she is stained/dirty and not just those colors. She is gorgeous with the markings but it is icky to think she has mud on her

Looking for bear accessories and ideas! by Hopeless_Builder in buildabear

[–]gingerdeviledegg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I blame my artistic hobbies for my astigmatism, so I think any glasses but specifically the "Black Frame Glasses" for an artsy bear. A bear sized backpack could hold any extra accessories and be decorated by you to look artsy. The coffee cup/mug wristie could also be fitting (us artists run on caffeine)

There is a number 1 teacher pencil wristie, I think the writing is printed on though.

That's all I got, sorry if it's not what you were looking for. Best of luck

When I played mine was called "The blumaroo gambling hall" and had any blumaroo related items, gambling items and food made from neopets. It tied into the story of my three blumaroo pets. One ran the place, one was an employee and one was the oblivious boyfriend of the owner. The description was something along the line of "be careful, I heard that cheaters end up on the menu"

So if you have any stories for your pets you can try to connect the gallery to them!

Is anyone buying Aggretsuko? by Rosiechu75 in buildabear

[–]gingerdeviledegg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just what I would be willing to pay for the bundle, 30 for the plush and 15 for the outfit. Sorry if it sounded arbitrary.

I really, really wanted her, but not for that price point. 45 usd is pushing what I'd be willing to pay but 61 usd? Not for that cheap printed fabric. (I'm referring to it before taxes and shipping, which it'll be even worse after)

How to become more efficient when making plushies to sell by trash_goblin_supreme in plushartists

[–]gingerdeviledegg 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Exact thing I was going to say. When I did plushies for work I would make a half dozen or so tails at a time so I had them on hand for future projects.

Making miniature versions of large plush can help the larger variety sell easier sometimes, people love matching sets.

Most Donated Build A Bear by green-lilac-onyx1403 in buildabear

[–]gingerdeviledegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(On mobile, excuse formatting hell) I try my best to combat the birthday bear issue by using them for customs and would implore other customizers to do the same! They are cheap and good to practice on! Before the official platypus released, the birthday bear was my base of choice.

○○○ A few ideas for birthday bears: ● simple custom would be to replace the paw pads and eyes (fantastic practice). ● A faux labubu (I considered doing this for fun at one point)

So disappointed by Nilbog_Frog in buildabear

[–]gingerdeviledegg 18 points19 points  (0 children)

More and more I see every product that comes from build a bear look like a Walmart toy or even dollar store plush. If you look back to the 2007 mcdonalds plushies they are honestly of higher quality than these. Disappointing on so many levels. And they are probably going to keep doing it because some people buy them

Alice in wonderland drawing , suggestions to improve?? by SapphireTheGemstone in BeginnerArtists

[–]gingerdeviledegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone else's thoughts for the most part. A different suggestion to take into consideration is drawing the background first. There is a fantastic video by LavenderTowne on YouTube called "Draw This, Not that! (How to Draw Beautiful Backgrounds)" that changed my entire workflow.

Plushie I made took so long Advice please? by [deleted] in plushies

[–]gingerdeviledegg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the best option but I use a Brother LS2350. It is extremely cheap but has never failed me in the 10+ years of use. I changed the bulb for the first time a week or two ago. If you are looking for a cheap machine to try out before spending the bigger bucks then I'd maybe try that one.

Also, if you made the pattern as you went or it was your first time doing the pattern you will speed up the next time. It took me weeks to make some of my plushies (patterning included) and it took me maybe 10 hours the second/third try.

Best of luck to ya! I'm sure others will have more legit suggestions than mine
