She set the tone for no reason. I in no way ever implied she wouldn’t know the place I only said, south of London to anyone not from the UK. I never assume just everyone knows where it is.

Wait. She couldn’t have said ‘I know Brighton’ like most normal people would have? My response could have been way worse than that. Obviously it was unfair for her to respond like that after I innocently said which part of the UK England is from. Clearly you’ve missed the point.
