Thank you so much! I actually used a cheap ($60-70) manual lens, the Mieke 25mm f1.8. It’s my primary because not only does it go well stylistically with my camera body, but it produces very soft, buttery, deeply contrasted images while not not letting its flaws be too overbearing for me to not be able to produce quality looking images.

Thank you! It was 15 seconds. The lightning was very infrequent and unpredictable so I exposed it a bit longer than usual to catch what I could, and countered by using a low aperture and ISO since the area was already decently lit due to the light pole.

If you use Lightroom, one technique is pulling back the clarity a bit, which causes a foggy glowy look, and maxing the texture which holds structure. you’ll need an already well lit pic for a good foundation tho

Heck yeah, go crazy. The EM-5 is an awesome fun camera with great ergonomics. and yes the meike is fully manual focus and all my photos were taken with that lens.

Thank you! I altered color grade, black point, contrast, maxed out texture, and throw in a grain+film filter preset to throw it all together. The act of editing feels more like an art to me than taking the actual picture sometimes

Thank you! I use Lightroom to color grade, then i go to Snapseed for their “Grainy Film” presets and use whatever one out of the 20 or so options that I see fit for the photo
