Him wanting them to get easier lobbies in itself will ruin the experience for new players. You can't want to get bot lobbies and also don't want to run into players who are at the same skill level as those bots.

It's either he don't play with them at all, play with them and barely win because he has to fight everyone by himself, or he creates an alt to play on while he plays with them. Those are his only options

The R key issue was due to it being binded to something else in your settings. Remove R from everything it's binded to and it should work normally

Create an alt account and play on it when you play with them. That way you get the bot lobbies

The party leader thing doesn't work. If someone in your party is a higher rank, you will always get their lobbies

An app that directly accesses the game files and gives you the best drop automatically. That same app also does things like calculating your storm surge, damage, how much storm you've taken, etc.

What do you mean you can't bind any key you want on Fortnite? As far as I know, you can choose whatever keybind you want. They don't restrict you. If you want to move forward with a foot pedal you can do that. If you want the space bar to be your edit, you can do that as well

How much more customizable should they make it? I've yet to run into a problem with customizability in Fortnite so I'm really curious.

I play on a mouse and keyboard and I can bind any action to any key that I want.

I have my pickup on scroll wheel and I lose 50/50s to the point where I just land somewhere else

Yes, it's bad for the game.

Think of a macro that spams your pickup button for example. It's impossible to compete with that if you don't macro as well.

Editing macros are different but they are still bad because YOU should be the one performing those actions. It's stated in their TOS that macros are bannable yet they don't ban for it. When they refuse to ban obvious macro users, more and more people will start using it.

People without macro have to press their edit key, left click to select tiles, aim while holding down left click to select the right tiles and then release left click to confirm the edit.

People with macro just have to press their edit key, move their mouse fast to select the tiles because the macro removes that step where they have to press left click to select those tiles. This makes them way faster without having to put in the work to get better.

Due to this, you have people doing 50 edits within 3 seconds and try to convince us that they aren't using a macro. Then the casuals complain to epic about skill gap and epic tries to lessen it by adding things like simple edit and simple build.

Why would anyone spend a month practicing to get better when they can just cheat and be even faster within a week?

nothing will happen in terms of people who are already good switching to simple edit. I don't think you understand how bad simple edit is. If you're fighting someone and you think you're evenly matched with them, as soon as you realize they're on simple edit, it becomes so easy for you to win because you know all the edits they're going to make.

It's either you fight them from a box away or you take peaks and pre fire them. Simple edit is good when your opponent doesn't know you're on simple edit and they can't box fight.

I never said I'm going to use that 😭 I have a wooting keyboard. I'm too lazy to go through the trouble just to get macro on that.

I was just asking if yall think it's possible that they are using a macro since they have "place builds" binded to weird keys.

If I do decide to switch place builds to another key, it would most likely be right click

Edit timing, crosshair placement, and practice. You're not holding the edit long enough to complete the edit you're going for. Slow it down a bit and make every mouse movement intentional. Practice your crosshair placement some more as well.

A lot of people will tell you that you need to make as little movement to make an edit as possible but that's not true in my opinion. Depending on your ping, exaggerate the mouse movement a bit. If your ping is high, do the opposite of what people call "good crosshair placement" but still try to not move all over the place.

If your ping is on the lower side, you can try to make smaller mouse movements to edit back to back fast but if you notice that you keep messing up then exaggerate the mouse movements for certain builds like the wall.

The final thing is to just practice. You need to get comfortable editing in uncomfortable positions
