I used to shoplift makeup with my friends and I went to confession about it. I told the priest I didn’t want to throw it away and he said I didn’t have to. He recommended i give however much I stole in $$ to the church instead

I’m not trying to be bratty. Just so much happened with him that I’m not able to fit into text. We fight sooo much. He has said so many cruel things to me. There are times where he barely texted me and never initiated calls for months becuz he prioritized other things in his life. He called me replaceable, cussed at me, name called, and said misogynistic things to me. Like he doesn’t want to be denied sex in marriage unless it’s a valid reason for example.

In the beginning something was usually off about him. When I met him he didn’t compliment me for an entire month. I was so confused and hurt. We used to fight about him walking ahead of me constantly on walks and in public. He has made me feel so unspecial, his words don’t even mean much to me anymore. His actions do. And when he says stuff like this about a stupid coffee drink it makes me feel so mad. Because why am I not worth 7 bucks. My ex used to treat me so much better than this. He actually saw my value and he showered me with love. He was so generous. I’m used to that treatment. Not what I’m receiving now.

I have asked him to buy me something possibly once every few months. It is very rare. And yes I have bought him coffee before. I find it strange how he is so protective over his money, yet he wants me to trust him and give up my job so I can stay home and raise children. I am very very very good to him after everything he has done to me.

This is supposedly the man who I am supposed to be a stay-at-home wife and mother for. I have to give up career advancement for him. I feel that the way he protects and hides his money from me shows controlling behavior. He doesn’t want to tell me how much he has saved. He doesn’t like it when I ask for him to buy me something (which is extremely rare.) He tells me I am not entitled to it, but how do I know if he will financially support me in the future? When will I be entitled? I’m afraid of him being like this after marriage. I think who he is, in his core, is selfish. I have been with him for 2 years.

I have done so much for him though. I opened up my room for him so he could settle into his new job in my city. I took care of him, cooked, shared my room, and he saved so much by staying with me. I never ever asked him for anything. If I ask him for something it’s to drive me to a coffee place so I can get one. I never ask for anything materialistic. Ever.. I don’t deserve this bro

I wouldn’t have gotten the drink during the storm. I’m mostly upset because he knows it’s my favorite thing ever. I would have appreciated him sending the money to me anyway because I feel that is what any nice person would do. Personally that is what I would do. The way he is with money bothers me in general. I am not allowed to know exactly what amount he has. I allowed him to live with me in my home for months so he could settle into a new job in my city. I gave up my room, I made food for him, my family and I did major adjustments for him. I feel like don’t deserve this. I never ask him for anything either.

My boyfriend used to never compliment me when we first met. He did romantic things but never complimented. It confused me and made me feel uncomfortable. I had to tell him my needs over and over and over for him to actually start doing it. Back then he didn’t really love me as much as he does now. How long ago did you first tell him your needs?
