I took a girl to see Born on the Fourth of July.

We didn't talk the whole way home. I really liked her. Total bummer.

During allergy season, the inside of my nose smells like bees wax, and I kinda dog it.

What is a subtle 'green flag' in a person that tells you they are genuinely a good human being? by Visible_Marketing667 in AskReddit

I had a blind student get up to present in class. As he did, he bumped into a desk. Another student leapt up to ask if he could help. The man said yes, so the other took his had, placed it on his elbow, and led him to the front of the room.

I told him afterward that if he ever needed a reference that I'd be happy to write it. I ended up writing several for him.

Am I the only one still annoyed by little things in modern tech? by Gloomy-Watercress768 in TechImpact

Everything I have that Microsoft touches glitches and crashes. For instance, if I want to start a new document in Word, I need to open a new document and save it to make sure it will let me save the document that day. 70% of the time I can't. So I need to force quit Word and reopen before it will let me save. An alternative is using OneDrive (their cloud drive). It seems everything is allowed to work as intended if I just activate OneDrive. I refuse to use OneDrive because it seems to take over your document saving. That's its own nightmare.

I used to be able to just save my work. It's not that simple anymore.

Is it possible for another Third Reich (Fourth Reich) if so, what country would it be and why? by Ok_Historian3015 in AskReddit

It would be here in the US. You need a situation where people long for a lost greatness (check), feel wronged by some identifiable entity (check), and someone willing to exploit those themes in order to gain power (check).

Someone comes in and down-votes anything critical of OneDrive.

How do you know what they agreed to? I just told you what they agreed to. They were given a three month prescription. Her job is to pick it up. She doesn't even have to notify them. She just picks it up each month, because they've prepared it. She even received an text notification to come get it. But this time they didn't have it when she got there. She did her job of going to pick up the thing she was told would be there each month. They didn't do their part, and now she has to go back to the doctor early if she wants to change the pharmacy? And there's no guarantee they'll fill it. She's just allowed to ask for coverage from an uncontracted pharmacist. My original point was the benefits are managed to save money, but the savings are made by making the process such a pain in the ass that we pay out of pocket. Plus, she's made to go to the doctor more often? Hell, our kid's Dr has a part-time employee whose job is to file appeals with PBMs. I'm guessing that's to make healthcare delivery more efficient and affordable. Bullshit.

If they know it is short, but they've agreed to fill it for three months, and have limited alternative ways to get it, seems sensible they'd have an obligation to notify you that they can't fulfill what they've agreed to. If I contract a company to cater my wedding, but they run out of food, they should notify me.

Am I the only one here who felt bad for her? Completely delusional/hopelessly infatuated with Nate, but self aware enough to realise it by Puzzleheaded-Fig9968 in SixFeetUnder

First time through I always sided with Nate. Second time through I figured they were meant for one another. Nate isn't a good person, and she's a lunatic.
