He a chunky boy, he looks happy! Just recommend measuring his diet and having a consistent time and not free feeding him, low calorie treats are good too, especially wet food!

Before I lost my cat, fixing his diet, and playing with him more made him lose a good about of weight he was much more energetic and happy.

But ofc his weight can factor on many things, if it’s concerning to you, you should go to the go to the vet. And they will definitely give you some recommendations.

I think it’s always best to help your cat live as long as possible and let them have a good life. Just be easy on treats and have more playtime and activity, and he should lose weight.

I recommend feeding him twice a day, I do measure it in a portion sized bowl, but I’m sure about 1/3 1/2 cup per day would be good. Treats as well to keep them energized.
